So no help to Westpark really at all. Once you get out there, it has cleared up. It's from the start of the tollway to Dairy Ashford that is unbearable. Still waiting to hear back from Nick who said Westpark hasn't had any jams. Tell that to my wife who spent over an hour on it Monday and me who did nearly the same Thursday

It actually wasn't as bad yesterday. Subtract the 10 minutes I spent in CVS due to idiots in line in front of me, it was a 50 minute drive leaving at 6:20.

Hey, how does it look now? [I am going to leave work at 10 p.m. tonight] :p

I think 50 minutes is still TOO MUCH... no?

Just preparing myself. And yeah, it's too much normally, but still much better than two hours.

I was running late this morning and missed the bus I usually take to downtown. Had to take the one ten minutes later.

The bus I missed got in a wreck on the HOV. There was an ambulance and everything. I guess someone up there is watching out for me!

People have been making illegal turns since before Ike.

South Beltway (south/east bound) feeder at 90 has 3 lanes. The left lane is a turn or go straight (turning to go 90 east). The signal light has an arrow sign! Since the lane backs up with left turners, a-holes decide to make the middle lane a turn lane. There is a reason the middle lane is not a turn lane...it's because the 90 feeder is narrow (big trucks take up the space). I loved it when a construction truck in the correct lane almost smashed an illegal left turner. It pisses me off there are no cops...they could make a living writing tickets. If I had a ****ty car I'd drive straight through in the correct lane.

Illegal right turns are also made at 610 and 90 (turning to go east on 610). Another spot cops could make a living. A lot of people myself included exit at West Bellfort to get into the correct lane before the cluster**** at 610.

maybe a bit off topic...but how do you get in a wreck on the HOV lane? driving in a straight line isn't that difficult...

It looked like a car tried to pass the bus as it was merging in. You'd be surprised how many idiots try to pass the busses in the HOV. There's really no need to. They go as fast as the car in front of them.

RocketMan95, how is that drive to Katy now? They opened up the lanes that were unavailable last week past Campbell, and now it's posted speeds and even FASTER after that. Sweet... someone at Metro was readin' my "OPEN UP THOSE LANES!" post.
I disagree. Buses go just a tad more or even AT the speed limit.

LET'S WORK ON THE PIECE FROM 610 to CAMPBELL NOW:

Inbound on I-10, easy peesy. Outbound on I-10, nightmare. I wished construction crews or METRO or whoever is responsible for opening up closed lanes gets off their butts soon.

A breakdown of the I-10 between 610 and CAMBPELL (starting at Marq-E center and on to Bingle/Wirt, etc.):

I-10 has been terrible coming in the last two days. We tried Westpark going out yesterday, but it was packed as if the tolls had not resumed. We may try I-10 going home today, but I hate that Transtar hasn't been up for it.
