Na, they let in freshmen and sophmores next fall. As far as UH goes, I havent attended since 2009. I remember getting there around 9am to make sure I got parking. If I left and tried parking elsewhere I would find people walking and ask to give them a ride to their car in exchange for their spot. I used this sometimes to try and pick up attractive women. 0% success rate on my end. However 100% success rate of getting their parking spot along with freaking them out when I'd power lock their doors once they got in >:]
Booyakasha! My house to the start of Allen Pkwy - 4 mins Allen Pkwy to I-45 - 4 mins (6 if the one light is red) I-45 & Allen Pkwy to Scott exit - 3 mins Scott exit to UH parking lot - 1/2 mile 9 minutes - crap, but whatever So getting to the UH property is only 11-13 minutes. It's just that damn construction, finding a spot, and walking to class that takes another 30 minutes minimum. Maybe I'll try Cullen again.
Wasn't aware of this. It will probably drain the central campus of some good kids, but mom got a Bachelors in Biochem there, so it's great to see UHS really committing to educating the entire Houston area. I grew up in Baytown, would love to have been able jump on 146 and do this.
I lived near Allen Pkwy and Memorial Dr. when I went to law school at UH, and I usually took the route you described, but I'd exit Spur 5 and take Univ. Drive up to Calhoun. Scott was out of the question, Cullen wasn't too bad. Of course, this was '05-08 so construction might vary the effectiveness of this route. If traffic was particularly bad, going back I'd take Alabama all the way into Montrose.
is there a better way when traveling 59N than i-45 south to get to UH? That exit is the worst. There was some accident today right after the exit that caused three lanes to shut down and completely stopped traffic for like 20 minutes Who the hell thought it was a good idea to make that i45 exit ramp a 2 to 1 lane merger also?
