Calvin Murphy put it well in his radio show. I'm just paraphrasing as best I can recall.

If I could trade them one for one? In a heartbeat. Whoo!

But would I do it? No, because it would practically be starting over and admitting failure. The team as it is has a chance to do something special and I wouldn't want to tear that apart. And plus, it would probably take way too many pieces to get Kobe.

Anyways, that's what I understood, Murph's always been a little hard to understand what with his going in a hundred different directions at once.

that man has a point, but we are starting everything all over now with new coach, new offense system and new set of role players.

if something big is going to happen, now is the best time.

Nope. Kobe may have more rings (with Shaq) and may appear to be more aggressive-- but the smart money is on T-Mac with this lineup, not a ball hog egomaniac.

Am I blindly loyal to T-Mac, believing that he can still get us to the top? You bet.

What's up with the name calling? I hate the guys who bash Tmac too. But why did you think that someone who dislikes Tmac must be a Yao Ming fan? It's kinda simple-minded and dumb, isn't it?

Stupid threads call for stupid answers.

You know what? Why don't we clear our team of roleplayers for Kobe? We can then be the Boston of the West! Kobe - Tmac - Yao! Instant championship anyone?!

Of course, that has about as much chance of happening as the Tmac for Kobe trade.

Kobe is probably among my LEAST favorite players. I dont care for him as an individual and I don't believe he has any TRUE concept of being a team player. TMAC, on the otherhand, strikes me as a good guy whose willing to alter his game for the benefit of the team. All that said, regretably, you'd have to pull the trigger on the trade, even including most anyone else on the Rox roster (other than Yao, of course). Take away Tmac's back issues, and depending on who else would be thrown in, and one could make a valid arguement to the contrary, but things being as they are - you'd have to do it.

Hello NO Way. I detest kobe. I won`t even capitalize his name. I would not take him for free with the team we already have. This team is gonna be fun. Now if we had a cellar dwelling team I would do the trade in a heartbeat. I want kobe to go east to da Bulls to fight it out with king james who I also don`t like. It would be great to watch those two try and showboat each other. I want T-MAC to win the championship here with Yao and Francis - now thats a great story. Houston is 15-1 odds to win it all and I am going to Vegas next weekend and bet all the money I have on them, which by the way isn`t much. That`s without kobe.

    Agreed.
Although I like T Mac and, more specifically, I like our chances with him, Kobe is the type of talent that you just don't pass up. Add to that the fact that he has proven recently that he can play within a team concept with competent talent around him. I think these recent years of losing have humbled him.

T-Mac as a person? = all that glitters is not gold....Unless you are talking about the numbers on the uniforms that V-span's team rocks....lol..

For real, dont be fooled by the work of the PR people hired by some of these guys.

T-mac is -not so nice- of a person. I had an -unprovoked- run in with him this summer in which he showed his true colors.

He used to be my favorite player, but yes, trade him.

Matter of fact, kick him in the back on the way out.

I am from Houston -mother f*ckin- Texas. Dont question where I'm from. I'm from Alief. Southwest Houston. Cook road, High Star, Belle Park, and all that. Went to Chancellor, AMS, and Hastings. Went to SHSU in college. Im a Houstonian till I die.

I got into a fight with Tracy about a month and a half ago. We were both in VIP at his Labor Day party at Club Venue.
My boy was promoting it for him.

I complimented him, wished him good luck on the season, and his drunk a** punched me in the chest for it. Real Talk. I aint a big dude either. He is an a-hole.

I WAS a huge fan. When I tried to step to him after he hit me, his bodyguard tried to bogard, and bullyfoot me. I should have pressed charges against his hoe a**.

You dont know me. I dont live in the US?

Yo, you cant even spell liar. It's liar not lier, illiterate guy. Where are YOU from.

I dont have a reason to lie. Sorry to crush your wet dreams about Mac, b*tch.

And what type of gay sh*t is being a Yao only fan? You are an idiot. I am a Rocket fan. Rocket fan since 81. Lucas, Mo, Rudy, Newlin, etc.

Sure, I dont live in the H. Moron.

If t-mac remain healthy all the season, I don't agree.
If kobe promises to be a good passer, I agree.

guys you are not making sense.

Whether you like it or not, support it with facts on BB court and not on your emotions.

no kobe for tmac - because salary don't work*, system don't work*, team won't gel with kobe's game*, or whatever the reason...

NOt something like, i don't like kobe, or i don't like tmac because they are ballhog or jerk, or too much ego...etc.

I'm a nobody. Yep, you NAILED it.

You don't know me. I thank God for that, because being around you would only make me dumber.

    Learn how to spell.

    Learn grammer.

    Learn how to make sense.

"Waste his breathe" on me? What are you talking about?

MAC is just a weak human being. He had no right to put his hands on me, and he's lucky I didn't press charges, and sue.

When you can tell me what a "lier" is, maybe I'll understand your views.

Sorry to crush ya'lls dreams, but he is not a good person....either that, or he was drunk and trying to show out.

Regardless, trade him. I'm all for it.

I use to be a HUGE fan, but once those true colors came out, it was easy to see he is an egomaniac, a coward, and a jerk.
