Wow...now I'm not a TOF or a YOF but I have to say you YOF's are in self-denial and apparently also live in a alternate universe, because to compare Tmac to Kobe or Steve Francis.....nevermind...trying to be fair here....is well....stupid and ignorant. Have you ever gone to Darfur on your own time? In the middle of a genocide, living in squalid conditions for weeks? Huh? What?

If I went to Darfur, I wouldn't go there to create publicity or change my image as some kind of wannabee humanitarian. He went there for ONE WEEK. and...HE BOUGHT A CAMERA CREW TO SHOOT A DOCUMENTARY.

I would not bring a documentary film crew if I really went there for humanitarian reasons. I'd bring food, blankets, etc. Not some film crew.

And the stuff he said about Darfur is idiotic at best. It makes him look insanely ignorant. Duh. This guy never obviously reads a newspaper, does he?

And..have you guys forgotten last year? Just last year what T-mac said about the All-Stars being at New Orleans? Here is the huge human disaster story right here on our soil. THese poor poor poor people in New Orleans who really, lost everything, because our government failed them.

And T-Mac loudly, brazenly, stupidly says, I'm not going to New Orleans. Nuh uh. I might get shot.

Nice, T-Mac. Could you come off as more of a spoiled r****ded NBA star than that?

So the sheer hypocrisy of this guy, now, claiming to genuinely care about the people in Darfur..it makes me want to puke.

oh, so all documentaries are useless b/c that's what documentaries are about. he didn't go there to SAVE lives. he admitted that. he went there to LEARN about what it is about and he did. now he wants others to LEARN aobut the situation--to become AWARE.

if u can criticize that, ur just not human.

Yao Ming is an amazing player and a humble guy but for some reason he has never really excited me, I mean i love the fact that he is on our team and we are lucky to have him but i just dont have that feeling inside of me that gets me all excited about him and I realize now why, its b/c of YOFs it just makes me have this subconscious hatred for yao. i just get tired of people like yao_fan_2007, its sickening to see people idolize yao in such a naive way, i mean i have no problem with people fanatic over a player but i have never seen people act so damn ignorant.

i don't think u don't find him exciting b/c of posters like him. generally, big men are BORING. tim duncan is BORING. yao is boring.

it's hard to expect centers like hakeem with his gracefulness or shaq with his power. most big men are boring to watch. fans tend to idolize perimeter players who are flashier ala kobe/tmac/wade/bron/iverson.

Nah, if T-Mac really was serious, then of course I'd applaud him and totally respect him. He went there for 1 week. And you compared him to Dikembe Mutombo, which shows your depth of ignorance and stupidity. You make me sick. You are ridiculously T-Mac's butt monkey it's sick.

Like I said, if he genuinely sincerely wants to help the people of Darfur, I'd applaud him, and maybe change my opinion.

did i say he's better than deke? i said he's 2nd to deke. deke is the greatest philanthropist EVER in my opinion and i've stated that in other posts.

    and tmac isn't serious?

deke helped the people where he's from. so obviously he's gonna put greater physical and monetary efforts into that.

tmac wants to help others become AWARE of the situation. if u read that article about darfur, it's HARD to even change it. so if you don't know anything about darfur, don't even talk about it.

if it's easy to change by building a hospital or donating some money, i think tmac would. but that place is beyond that. man, i'm glad you're not an individual i know.

so i volunteered at a nursing home for 1 week during high school and that's useless?? that motviated me to pursue medicine.

so maybe now that 1 week in darfur will change tmac's perspective on life.

go live life son. 1 minute experience of something can alter your life just like that. but you're young. u think life is that simple.

This has got to be one of the most ignorant, childish, and disrespectful comment from a poster on this bbs! I am totally embarrassed that this guy is a member here!

If you cannot handle different opinions, then maybe you shouldn't be on a messageboard. And I think this is the second time time you said this exact thing to me. LOL. Maybe you're just another Yao Hater / T-Mac only fan?
