Btw I think we are actually a worse team after doing this trade if TMac stays healthy. However, that is a big if. I still think the new team would have enough to win the title and there would be less risk short and long term.
People who talk about Kobe for Yao are the same people deriding the Kobe for T-Mac on the grounds that Kobe would hog the ball and be selfish. If you think Kobe would hog the ball with Yao who is one of the most unselfish players, how do you think T-Mac and Kobe would get along who both need the ball ( ie ball hoggers ) and think they are both Michael Jordan? Kobe and Yao would get along fine. Kobe can share the ball with Yao, and vice versa. I think Kobe knows that he needs a super center like Yao to win another Championship. Kobe couldn't get along wiht Shaq but have you seen Shaq? He isn't exactly a high character guy either. THey were both egotistical and immature. No such problems with Yao Ming. Yao and Kobe would get along fine.
I'm not normally into this sort of thing...and don't get me wrong, I don't want kobe. nor do I wish to trade yao or tracy, but... the way I see it, is kobe + yao, or kobe + tracy = championship. doesn't really matter which one. kobe + yao = kobe + shaq, except with a center that doesn't constantly have to be the #1 ego on the team. kobe + tmac = jordan + pippen, tracy is pippen if you were wondering. their games are eerily similar in both cases, I might add.
Well if Kobe was here Yao would probably want a trade in 2 years...That's what would happen. He couldn't get along with Shaq couse he didn't want that, he thought he's the only guy on the roster
I disagree. he couldn't get along with shaq because they both thought they were the man. yao and tracy don't care who the man is. kobe feels he is and has to be the man.
Cause after that trade Kobe used to be the man. He used to be the only scorin' option on the team, that could be the problem with Yao and himself
No way I trade for Kobe. We gut our team to get him now and we will be the lakers in two years when he opts out of his contract. No, Kobe wants to go to Chicago so he can fulfill his dream of having his statue replace Michal Jordan's.
if we had an opportuninty to swap tmac for kobe we have to make that move, but if it takes anymore than one of our point guards and next yearrs first its not worth it and the cost is too high.
Weren't you the T-Mac only fan who would not trade T-Mac even if it guaranteed a Championship for the Rockets Franchise? You're a T-Mac first fan, and then a Rockets fan.
no way the Lakers would consider this at all. Tmac's back problems plus his age? I think the Lakers want youth in return.
again, what are you? you're the same guy who said you wouldn't like yao averaging 13ppg if houston won? what's the big difference? if you can do it, why can't others?
As big as the Walmart ones? Seriously, you are an idiot and you give all the Yao fans a bad name. Of course, if you are just pretending to be a Yao fan in order to give a bad name to all of them, you are doing an excellent job and deceiving a lot of people. One way or another, you are a moron.
How is it that posters like DaRock1 can keep his Member status? even though he violates the Forum rules? Are there moderators on this forum?
What are you saying is that Kobe is > tracy or yao? I think so too, but kobe would go to the Bulls or Mav., not the Rox. We have to win a title without kobe, we will.
