I don't think this trade is possible. If Lakers want to trade Kobe, it means they want to rebuild the team. They will want young potential players and the 1st round picks.
Either way, we'd be giving up way too much to get Kobe. But hey, if you prefer having two superstars and a bunch of lame role players, then no problem. I would prefer the depth and versatility we have on the roster now.

This is a trade that is not going to happen. I don't see any other team in the league trading a superstar of theirs for T-Mac due to his history of back problems. If I am a GM, I still wouldn't trade for T-Mac just for that very reason even if it didn't involve a superstar of mine.
If it's possible to get Kobe...it's a no brainer. Tmac is just a streak shooter. When he's hot he's hot....but KOBE is clutch and winner and competitive.
NO!!! NO!!!! NO!!!! Favorite player ever is Tracy So NO!!!!!! Plus kobe will take the ball that tracy could of shot if we trade others for him will prolly not happend cause there lookin for a bg name.
I think its a mute point. The only way the Lakers trade Kobe, is if they feel that their team is BETTER from the trade. How could we make them better? Sending them TMac and anyone on our team besides Yao would not make them any better than they are now. The only way I see a trade happening is if a team with huge upcoming talent decides they want to become champions now, rather than later, such as Seattle or Portland.
you just don't seem to understand do you?its not about if the lakers were in the playoff or not .it's about t-mac who was arguably the best player in the league during the 2005 playoff
I had no idea Kobe was a musician too. Cool! You can't ignore the fact that adding Kobe would make the Rox the media darlings of the NBA. If they can get the deal done while keeping Mac, Yao and Scola, I say go for it.
