Better team player don't translate into winning..just look at the Playoffs!! Better talents and a will to dominate will translate into winning...just ask Kobe!

On LakersGround they think it is BS, and they think it is a very bad trade. They'd much rather get Yao instead.

Very ironic, at LG they want the opposite. They want Battier as the throw-in instead of Scola.

Chemistry is a HUGE issue with Kobe...off the court, maybe. Kobe won rings with a MEGA talent like Shaq. Sure there was dissonance throughout their championship reign of three years, but they won THREE STRAIGHT.

Kobe might be a divo/jackask, but no one can deny his WILL TO WIN.

Some people argue that if Kobe was so great, how come he's struggling to make the playoffs while Shaq ALREADY has his ring? Those same people would continue to say that the rings in LaLa Land were because of Shaq. Well, Shaq got traded to a team that was already on the rise and had a "Kobe-Replacement" in Wade. Meanwhile, Kobe lost his coach and got a player with a clashing skill-set in Lamar Odom.

Let's not disregard the lack of talent around Kobe since Shaq left. Despite that lack of talent, Kobe has the Lakers competing for a playoff spot. You take Kobe out, and the prodction from that very same Laker team will drop DRASTICALLY. Playoffs are a DREAM for the Lakers without Kobe. Come on, Kwame Brown as Kobe's front court help?

The difference between Kobe Bryant and Tracy McGrady is that drive and will to win. McGrady is too passive at times, same goes for Yao. Sometimes, none of our beloved superstars seem to want to lead this team when adversity rises late in a close game (don't mention 13 in 35 because not even Tmac himself could pull that one off again...what a game that was). Kobe thrives in those situations ALL the time.

With all that said about Kobe, I would NOT trade for Kobe if it means giving up Battier, Scola, or Yao. It seems like this team has the formula of teamwork and star power...ingredients that are PERFECT for Adelman's offense.

I only pull the trigger on a Tmac-for-Kobe trade if Scola, Battier, and Yao are Kobe's future teammates. Otherwise, I'm ready to get this season started.

it's understandable because scola is an unproven commodity, but i think he will really be an effective player and he fills our hole at pf.

we have enough depth at sf, even if we give up t-mac and bonzi. snyder can get extended play time. i would really love it if we could somehow keep both battier/scola.

t-mac, head, bonzi, first rounders would be my ideal trade,

I hope this rumor is true.

But don't trade Scola. Trade Battier. Scola is untouchable along with Yao. He's the PF for the Rockets.

If this happens, Bye T-Mac. Have a good time in LA scoring 30PPG.

    Yao and Kobe = CHAMPIONSHIP!!

Now, any T-Mac only fan who doesn't want to do this trade, are they really fans of the Rockets?

Shouldn't a fan of the Rockets want to WIN?

    I do.

Take bonzi and scola and bozi out and replace them with snyder and butler. also we dont need sun yue (overrated scrub) and rads overpaid contract we can deal. otherwise were getting raped. scola, bonzi and tracy. for that much i want timmy duncan in return. kobe might be the best scorer in the game, but duncan is the best player on both sides of the court.

^^î honestly dont think that is a good trade, but anyway go ahead if they wanna do it. This team right now is a better chance to get a championship then the trade one. Especially at pf theirs gonna be the same problem as last year. Hello Boozer.

Thats my point. if you gonna gut the entire team, atleast get someone who is guranteed alot of success. duncan is guranted WCF at the very least. that why the spurs wouldnt give him up for noone.

Lets see, we giveup scola, bonzi and tracy for Kobe, rad and a scrub who wouldnt even make the roster. how does that exactly make the rockets better. kobe is a slight upgrade on tracy only in the scoring department. then add scola and bonzi, we get screwed royally. someone as clever as moneyball aint gonna go fotr it.

Then they need to get there head out of there asses. the only thing kobe has on tracy is scoring

    Playmaking-Tracy
    Passing-Tracy
    Rebounding tracy
Dfense- without shaq kobe ws exposed on defense. i'll be objective and say even
Teammate. Tracy. the most unselfish superstar in the game along with duncan and yao.
    Size and strength-Tracy.

    Scoring kobe
    Shooting -kobe

Kobe is a better scorer and shooter, but he is a bad teammate who will only take shots away from yao. kobe has never played within a team concept. under a OFFENSE WHERE PASSING AND WORKING OFF THE BALL IS EVERYTHING, GETTING A SELFISH BALL HOG IS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER.

Agree. Kobe's great but he need atother player on the team. Look what he's doin' without Shaq. He can score 50-60 pts cause he's alone, that's all

Man, first of all you're only yao fan so stop it please.

    I wanna add one more.

If we were a only tmac fans we would love that trade.

You know why? Cause in LA T-Mac will have a lot better stats.

Yea... in the 10 games that he will play before his back breaks down from having to shoulder the scoring load.

can we get away from that? patterson has basically has that problem under control. if he didn't get a back spasm from that hard fall in game 1 or ANY soreness, his back is good to go.

ppl make it seem like his back was 05-06 status ;)
