exactly. ppl underestimate tmac's starpower but he still has it. and tmac can stall b/c the lakers will still make the playoffs with him. maybe now w/ tmac on board, stars might want to go to LA b/c he's a great player to play with.

it's easier to sell playing with tmac than playing with kobe.

T-Mac has star power but Kobe has mega-power. players want to play with Kobe but as you know and many of the members here our GM SUCKS! our owner ship right now is a mess even when we have star players wanting to play with Kobe we can't get it done because we don't want to give up Bynum. so the reason is that reason we can't get things done to save our LIFE!

not really. even arenas said recently that to play w/ kobe, u got to be mentally able to challenge kobe in return when he challenges you. he said not many players want to do that.

the reason those players said that is b/c they want to play for LA. bdiddy is from LA and went to UCLA. jkidd said that but he preferred to stay w/ NJ.

w/ tmac, shaq wanted to play w/ him; jermaine o'neal; KG among others. that was when he was in orlando.

i bet u odom would choose tmac over kobe. that doesn't mean tmac is a better player though.

but i feel if tmac goes to LA and has the triangle offense all to himself like kobe has had, he'll regain his "mega-star power" like u put on kobe.

    We'll see.

I want a star player back for Kobe so we don't have to rebuild for a long time. I want a proven talent.

i think u could get arenas if kobe really wants to go there b/c washington won't contend anytime soon and arenas says he'll opt out if they don't improve. maybe this trade is feasible by next offseason.

Not only the players have to be mentally prepared to play with Kobe. The coaches must be mentally prepared to withstand him. The owner must be mentally prepared to meet his demands. The fans must be mentally prepared to take on his idiosyncracies (yes I am being polite). Hell, all of us should be mentally prepared one way or another if he comes to Houston town.

I really hope the Lakers get their replacement for Kobe ANYWHERE other than the ROCKETS...Like I said the only way I would do this trade is if it did not involve TMAC or YAO.

I want to see T-Mac and Yao and Stevie all get rings here. Kobe has his rings. He got them in L.A. If he came here, it just wouldn't feel right. I don't think anyone can doubt that. I think Rick, Yao, T-Mac and Stevie all need each other at this point in their careers to get that ring they deserve. It would be like if we had traded Hakeem and spare parts for Jordan after the 3 Bulls championships. Ill take Hakeems 2 over Jordan's 6. But that's just me.

Kobe for T-mac? Lakers won't take it...How about Battier for Kobe? Maybe we can get Odem too.

i think the appeal is more the hollywood LA lifestyle that would get them even more famous. it's the lakers for god sakes, one of the most historic NBA franchises ever.

    i think you're stretching it.

the main attraction is kobe bryant; they've said it and pretty much everyone knows that.

Some guy in the Lakers forum stated that his uncle works for the Rocket's Managment

and "Tmac/Bonzi/Scola/#1 2008 and 2010 and the rights for a player called Lior Eliyahu for Kobe/Vlad and the rights of Sun Yue..Then he went on to say that the rockets have allready contacted the lakers about it,and this trade is the most likely to happen.. "

First of all I know is just a rumor but isnt Tmac only going to be around for maybe 2 more yrs? and getting paid $21mil ..... wont it be good to trade him while u can if not this yr but after this yr if you can land KOBE?

    we would still have

    Yao
    Kobe
    Battier
    Francis
    James
    Rafer
