In Year 2006 season, The Rocket pay roll will be like this

    Tmac 17M
    Rose 17M
    Yao 10M

    Tmac + Rose + Yao = 44M

No roll palyers afford, just a three man team, great idea Deuce.

rose's contract ends the year yao's max kicks in. we would never have to pay all 3 that kind of money at the same time.

Yeha btu Taylor same yr cmes off cap so dsen't matter ?

It's not about how much a player makes annually, it's about the length of the deal. We're capped out regardless, so if Les is willing to pay the extra $9million, this deal would be a possibility. And quite frankly, what the hell do you expect? We have nothing to offer but garbage, so it's only deals like this one that we could possibly make. Rose is only 31, and is a legit scorer. He's a cancer sure, but he can flat out fill it up. I'de think long and hard about this one.

As far as Nene, outside of the superstars, there probably isn't a power forward in the league other than Chandler that I'de rather have on this team. Seems far fetched that he could be had for so little.

would the raptors consider this? :

    mo, deke, boki, lue, gaines

    for

    rose, donyell

mo and deke for rose is obvious why it works for the raps but they would have woods, deke, aroujo, moiso, bosh, mo, donyell, all at the 4 and 5. they need a backup PG, and boki can fill in at the 3 for rose...not that he will start, but at least they have someone else to play at the position.

lue and boki are young and come off the books at the end of the year aswell. so if things don't work out toronto can just let them go. this might work well for both teams.

    yao-spoon
    don-JH-pad
    rose-bowen
    mac-jj
    sura-AB-ward

    woods-deke-aroujo
    bosh-mo-moiso
    VC-murry-boki
    mopete-gaines
    alston-lue

all we would have left to do is trade JH and our pick for a backup center. he doesn't even have to be good, just big.

Jalen Rose and Maurice Taylor both are Unrestricted Free Agent at Year 2007 Summer, that means they still with us at Season 2006-2007 season which many believe Yao begin with his max contract, so the rocket pay roll should like this

    Tmac 17M
    Rose 17M
    Yao 10M
    Mo 9M

4 Man team 17+17+10+9= 53M, No roll player involved any way.

By the way, Jalen Rose can play any defence, his shot selection will drive JVG nuts.

    Sura
    Rose
    Tmac
    Nene
    Yao
Sounds good to me. Hell yeah
Jimmy, Mo, Deke (that would be sad but it was nice having you lol), Gaines, Lue, Ward...they can all go.
Just keep Barrett..Rodney White is a good backup..
Howard is a good backup for Nene...and Nene can play the 5.

    What a dream

but rose will be in his last year of his deal in 06-07.

an ending contract of that size is the most tradable asset in the league. we can get an allstar PG for his ending contract.

    I love the Rose deal.

I'd rather have a cancer with an expiring contract than a no-talent with long contract. At least the cancer will ball and then come off the books.

Jalen is immediately the starter at small forward, and third option. He's the second option if Yao or Tmac are wussy on a given night.

Can't see much chance, but sure, go for it. Toronto, enjoy your blackhole weak forward and Wookie. Hope Chris Bosh is happy!

I'd love the Denver deal too, of course, if only. I can't see any way that could possibly happen. Nene is too darn good, too darn big. If they'll take JJ and Boki for Skita, fine by me. Just exit JJ pronto. His cancer nature is re-surfacing.

Mo and Jalen's contracts are the same length - that said, I'd rather have Jalen.

I would trade Rose for Mo if we don't have any trouble resigning Yao to a long term contract.

    lol JVGone..

I think JVG probably wants to get rid of Mo too. I think he'd rather have Nene than Mo. I THINK WE ALL WOULD. :)

I will go crazy..this bbs will go crazy if we can somehow get Nene, Rose, and White for Jimmy, Mo, and some of our 3rd string players..and some picks maybe. I wish

    Something like:

Jalen Rose, Rafer Alston, Loren Woods, Donyell Marshall

    for

Deke, Mo, Boki, Jim Jackson, Tyronn Lue, Weatherspoon

Sorry, but yes, I pulled a realgm on this one. It could happen after tomorrow (Dec 15).

Jalen at the small forward spot, Donyell as a 3 pt shooting power forward, Jalen can also pass and hit the 3, Rafer Alston might be a poor man's Francis but he turns it over less.........and is certainly looking to get the f*** out of Toronto; Loren can play backup center; it works out better for Toronto cap-wise in the next couple years.

    Just dreamcasting, though.

Supposedly the Knicks are hot after Carter but what would they give up, and why would Toronto take New York's detritus, just to watch their own franchise implode and the Knicks get galvanized with an "oh-I'm-not-as-injured-as-I-thought" Vince Carter?

The only thing about trading with Toronto is I dont think CD and Grunwald would take two free passes and go to wally world together after that Damon Stoudamire debacle.

Oh wait. scratch that. forgot about the Hakeem trade.

Though the no trade till decemeber 15th idea that Roxtxia brought up has me thinking CD is in a backroom with no windows finalizing some deal that he just has to wait on before he can make it legal.

You haven't heard? Apparently Toronto's GM is running the team from an insane asylum and has secured a steady source of incoming crack rock. He's cracked up and cracked out...... God, if only it were true.

The trades for the forwards sound great but noone has really touched on a legit point guard who can really run the show out there. What about the need to recover the huge gaping hole in the backcourt!!! ?Rafer Alston? I think that he will be hard to pry away.
