No, no. I would never look to draft a player who will not be able to contribute right away. All the players i named(even in my sig)will not see a minute in D-league. Neither would D-Mo, for that matter.
The idea of trading up is gambling for a young player with upside, Donuts is a young player with upside. Sounds like a smart equation. Give you a lot of crap + X = X
Dude. What the heck?! Motiejunas wouldn't even get drafted this year since the draft is "sooooo deep"!!!!!!!
Nope. Defeats the purpose of getting rid of him to slide over to another young guy we draft. We need to keep the young guys in this equation. Those young guys are? Draft picks D-Mo Parsons Dragic thats pretty much it. Short list because those things are valuable and young or productive and young. Dont want to lose any of them in a team rebuild.
LOL! I guess. Its what we have now. I didnt even look at it that way. Dang Morey and McHale is RACIST!!!!
Everyone is on the block when you are a Rocket, and that includes players Morey's daughter has a crush on..... DD
You all are taking this much easier than i expected. Look at it like this, he, like everyone else in this draft is still an unknown as far as NBA play goes. I have a hard time believing that you guys wouldn't trade him to move up in this draft.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSMa4b3RTlc&feature=related You probably guys haven't seen this video and I probably forgot to show you, T.Pacesas also Lithuanian former Motiejunas coach in Poland shouting at Motiejunas during Euroleague game and using few bad russian words, haha. No wonder he improved his rebounding and game. What coach is exactly saying: '' *****ing superstar, the ball always slips out of hands, *****...'' in a scary tone... But don't find it too offensive, it's just a showing that the coach really cared about D-Mo preparing for the NBA and his future career and maxed out everything out of him, Pacesas is told to be one of the better coaches from Lithuania, so D-Mo might not be in national team, but he will be playing for Rock's next season and I really doubt that after this progress that he made, he will be traded away, especially when u got aging front line. Enjoy
Is there much better potential in anyone after Davis in this draft? While I obviously am not great at evaluating potential, I just don't see anyone leaping out as a sure fire all star. It does not seem that NBA teams do either. Charlotte cannot decide who they want. Just trying to figure out who will be the #2 is giving the draft boards fits.
Beal will be the number 2 pick IMO...I don't think anyone can doubt his potential if they have watched him play...for beal yeah I would trade dmo other than that no I wouldn't
Good thread I personally think that we should keep staking up our assets lets not forget Dmo is a 7 footer with high potential, picks 2 and on are projected to be role players. Personally I think we should stay the course and take a less risky approach, I would hate that a deal involving Dmo could end up like the nowitzki trade.
Well first of all, where a player gets drafted doesn't determine how good they'll be. So just mentioning D-Mo and how he was drafted with the 20th pick is stupid. Secondly none of the guy's you listed IMO well have as big of an impact as you think. I'm specifically taking about MKG, Barnes, and Beal. They all will relay heavily on their (bad)team's offense to get them into position to score, given that they all struggle to create their own shot. But at least Barnes and Beal can shoot, MKG on the other hand being a poor shooter and testing out as an average athele will struggle more to adjust to the NBA game both defensively and offensively. As Robinson and Lillard, both have more adjusted NBA ready games, but both also have big question marks. Robinson measured a tad bit undersized, and isn't the freak athlete that everyone is make him out to be. He also has no post game to speak off and is a poor passer. As for Lillard, depending on the team he may have to adjust his scoring mentality from score first to pass first mentality. Not to mention his level of competition at the college level is still up for questioning. As I said it before I'll say it again, outside of Davis, this years projected top 5 is weak. Don't get me wrong the draft is definitely deep but just not strong on top IMO. I just don't see a guy in the top 5, outside of Davis, that I would trade D-Mo for...
Sorry for the delay in a response. Had to draw blood, get food & run errands. Maybe my hunger made me say #2. If Drummand's slated as a top 5 pick this year, with his work overseas, D-Mo would easily be a top 5 pick.
I whole heartedly disagree here. If D-Mo hadn't been drafted last year, his overseas work this past year would've put him right behind Robinson as a pf & definately in the lottery.
Common guys. D-mo is a taller, quicker, faster version of Scola. Just look at his post moves. Who would want to trade him? video mix from Polish league final series. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YopPVdUmx1g
