Why not, TJ? I say go for date #2, and I'd even just be honest. I mean, once you pick her up in your luxury SUV, she should get the picture anyway. Just promise us that you will end the date with a hard kiss to the cheek and a screamed "DATE OVER!"
It may be harder than you think. My last gf, also from Rice, was basically just as you described politically (don't worry, it's not the same girl ;-)) and it ended up being a big problem. It wasn't so much for me even though I am conservative, it was her who always made it a big deal and could not deal with my differing political views. Maybe you'll have better luck... Of course, it was fun while it lasted and she was definitely hot for a Rice girl (cheerleader up until this year and now she's on the dance team). So maybe you should go for it.
Dude...if she's really "so" liberal...then you can always tell her: "It's not really sex...Bill Clinton even said so."
Or, if he chooses to decline a 2nd date, a simple "THANKS FOR PLAYING, ROOKIE!" would probably do the trick.
If you don't have something better to do, go on the date! It's not like one of you is going to propose.... are you?!? None of these issues that you have identified are "all that" pertinent to marrying. Other things are more important.
Thanks to some for their input. Please bear in mind that I am a very sexy man with many options. However, I do like the fact that she had the nerve and confidence to call me back. You could argue that this significantly increases my leverage in the relationship, but equally as important, it means that she has some resolve. DATE ACCEPTED
You're not alone. Trader_Jorge, will you consider wearing a mic and being fitted with a remote web cam? It's the least you could do after receiving all this good advice. This will be better than elima-date or whatever those shows are.

Of course after that I might be less inclined to visit or give date advice to any poor girl dating a clutchcity'er, unless its "very sexy" T-Jorge.
