I been searching online but there are too many sites on this.

Has anybody ever trademarked a name/brand or logo? If so how much does it cost and what site do i use ?

    Thanks.

    Couple of points.

    1) First, you don't "trademark" anything. Rather, trademark rights are acquired by using your mark in commerce. After you have acquired trademark rights, you can federally register your trademark at the USPTO. Federal registration provides significant benefits.

    2) Considering that you acquire trademark rights through use, you might want to hire a competent professional to assist you in a search (federally registered marks, common law marks, etc.) before spending money on your using your trademark.

The NOLO site provides some good introductory reading material.
