Old unsubstantiated trade rumors are great. BD is overpaid. No way anyone in their right mind would take that contract. Even Isiah Thomas wouldn't.
That's incorrect, if i remeber correctly there was talk of a 3 team deal involving the clips, rockets, and nets. The clips were going to facilitate the deal for us so we could basically get carter for Tmac, but the nets nixed the deal, then the clips tried to keep it going by offering baron straight up for tmac and houston declined.
King Kong's natural position will be PF, but Rick will think it best to make him the focal point of the offense. Godzilla backing up Yao is just to piss off the Japanese even further.
I think we should use king kong as trade bait for Donkey Kong. That way if we get donkey, we can lure Mario to sign with us in the offseason. He's overpriced, but that Italian can run the floor like it's nobody's business.
It's refreshing to finally get some trade ideas that I can fully support, this is what moneyball is truly all about!!!
I am glad some of you have heard about the trade last year as well. Obviously no one closed on the deal. Just saying the salaries match. Davis and Camby would be awesome. The salaries match. With the Clips basically imploding this week they may be more inclined to dump a big contract. True Baron Davis is old....relatively, it could be a good fit for a few years. I also think Les would pay the luxury tax for Bosh. True Scola would not be back but Yao doesnt have many more years left. They are going to go after it all next year. They arent going to build through the draft and get younger at this point. Butler and Iggy would be great here too. I actually think Dalambert could be exactly what we need. But you have to admit that if possible Davis and Camby would be pretty cool.
I think I'd rather have Luigi, because I've always felt he's been underrated playing alongside Mario all those years. Pros: He is taller and can jump higher, and is a lot leaner. Cons: doesn't really have a star mentality, tends to be a little out of control at the peak of his jump. Plus we'd have to throw in an expiring deal to make the contracts work, and if we can move the TE around a bit I think we might even be able to swing a deal to lure Kirby here. With some Kirby attacks we're bound to be a little better at running the floor and spacing might be an issue when we got "Big" and play Luigi, King Kong, Donkey Kong, Godzilla and Yao... but the size advantage would be too much for most teams to handle. I don't think money would be the issue with Bosh if lets say we would acquire Davis and Camby it would be the Cap that would kill that idea. As we stand now the only way we could be under the cap enough to go after Bosh would be to let Scola AND Lowry go and then go after him but adding Davis' contract would not allow us to even try to sign him. Only way it would work is if we trade for Davis, Camby AND Bosh now so we'd have Bosh's bird rights then be able to exceed the SC and LT. Don't have the exact dollar amounts in front of me so someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Ill take Mario he takes it to the hoop strong and can finish. He has the star power to take on Kobe and Lebron!
But I thought Luigi was playing for a European team and had a wicked buyout clause, plus he's only capable of elite play if you have magic mushrooms around... that seems problematic to me. Does anybody know about WaLuigi's availability? I've been interested in seeing him in Rocket Red for quite some time
why are you bringing up last years trade rumors. Why would we just trade McGrady and have 3 quality pgs. Why not include brooks or lowry in the trade?? All these proposed McGrady trades are looking horrible and horrible each day
