I heard that the deal in the works last year was not Vince Carter for McGrady but rather Baron Davis. Since a pure 2 and back-up C are the most pressing needs for this club why not a trade Mcgrady<->Davis and Camby. Camby is expiring, and Davis' contract isnt that bad, probably can ride out Yao's career at the 2. Trade works on the machine. Get Bosh in the offseason and you got a sweet lineup. Brooks/Lowery Davis/Ariza Ariza/Battier Bosh/Landry/Scola Yao/Camby
Sorry, can't elaborate. But I have been a season ticket holder for 18 years. Word gets around at Toyota Center.
Given how we were all up in harms about taking Stephen Jackson's or Dalembert's contracts, why would we want Baron? It's just like Igoudala's and Baron's definitely a lot worse than him and is much older.
Sorry but two issues with your suggestion... 1 - B.Davis' contract is VERY bad...13, 14 and 15 mill the next 3 seasons which will limit us considerably. 2 - We can't sign Bosh as of now without letting Lowry and Scola go soooo getting a 13 million dollar a year guy will essential take us out of that race and probably cost us Lowry or Scola. Love to get Camby but they will want more then just TMAC...
actually the salaries DO match... I was thinking of Ricky Davis.. no way the rockets take back Baron's contract
If Isiah is going to be running the Clips, I could see them taking on Brian Cook and then resigning him to a multi-year 40 million dollar deal.
Morey looked at the Davis deal. I think the thing that killed the deal was the length of his contract and how much money he was owed. Didn't happen then and it certainly isn't going to happen now.
I don't listen to any trade proposal that contains the keywords: Trade with Clippers. No want. Next please
