Keeping Boba/Favors around makes the most sense to me. Bruno is bound for RGV, so is Cauley-Stein. Maledon could be converted to a two way if they see something in him. Favors and EG make $30M combined, so that could be a potential trade down the road. Boban may be kept as well since he is another good presence in the locker room plus has a $3.5M contract, so another player you can use for trade in an EG, Favors, or both deal.

It's always good to keep flexibility.

I see Boban sticking around longer. He is quite heavily featured in the training camp videos so far, and by all accounts he is a fantastic locker room presence, which for a young team is incredibly important.

You're over thinking it just because a player gets traded. We helped them with the luxury tax, so they have to give something up.

About as nothing a trade as a team can make, but still a net positive. A small pick and Favors has at least a little potential to play well enough to get another 2nd at the deadline.

The price was the SRP and $6.3M cash, not Maledon, everything else was just to make the money work and for OKC to get under the LT. Rockets will be able to waive Harkless, Maledon, Jerome (waived already) and not pay anything with that $6.3M i believe.

According to Sportac all of the OKC contracts were guaranteed for the year and they add up to a net increase of $7.3m minus the $6.2m in cash means they paid $900k for a 2nd round pick.

Sounds to me that people need to cut Ferntits some slack about being cheap.

There's most certainly some wheeling and dealing or outright cuts to be made between now and opening day to get to 15.

OKC was already under the tax by $2,479,167 which didn't leave them much room to maneuver later in the season if they wanted / needed to do so & is entirely too much spent on a team expected to contend for the league's worst record again.

This moved them $7.3m further under the cap for a total of $9.779 under the tax line.

Great value trade for the rox:

    1. Roster upgrade
    2. Got $$$
    3. Got trade asset

People hating on this trade are just die hard Tilman haters who cant give credit where it is due.

So Wood and Nwaba got the Rockets:

    1 - 1st Rd Pick (Tyty Washington)
    2 - 2nd Rd Picks

Am I analyzing this right? I'm only up cause my kid got me up and I can't get back to sleep.

Actually cost us a million. This was done for the expiring contract, 2nd round pick and just to see if any of this junk is better than some of the remaining junk we have.

Who knows, maybe there is a EGo Favors deal out there that finally gets the FRP Rafa wants for EGo

We signed Nwaba out of free agency on value contract. Got productive service out of him then moved him for a net gain. He maybe in the top ten most positive transaction in franchise history.
