I don't know if that's fair....yet. Jim O'Brien made Adelman's substitution patterns seem tame, almost genius, in comparison. I can't say that I've paid much attention to the Pacers' stats since they canned O'Brien, but Hibbert was doing well at first under the new guy. He might have tapered off for all I know. You know Adelman and Morey would love to have Hibbert. 7', passes, blocks shots, scores a bit. If there is a question to him, I remember reading that he was a little aimless and was nudged toward basketball. He's showed he can play, but he's also showed he might too easily lose that fire, especially given that someone else (parents, maybe) had to help light it. Still a little early to tell, and Indiana would either sell too high (now) or sell later if Hibbert doesn't return to his earlier form. It's a risk they take, I suppose: get a lot for him now? Probably not. Young center, rookie contract. Get less for him if he proves 2nd-tier at best? A risk. Cross fingers and hope he shows the early-season studliness again? The last option is probably one they'll take. Wow. All this just to say "he probably isn't available anyway".
It appears PatPat is locked into Cousins. What should DM the GM demand from Sac for Kings to put PatPat next to DC? That is the question IMHO. I'd certainly consider #1* and Thompson (*with restrictions, no doubt).
Omri Casspi and all the Israeli and Jewish money he will no doubt bring. I want to see some Hebrew on the court-side ads and hear Hava Nagila playing during every game.
