Since when is there such thing as a "proven" rookie? Are you saying you wouldn't trade Brooks and Scola for John Wall as well because he hasn't proven anything? If you've been watching the games Cousins has been playing very well as of late and has already moved up to the number 3 spot on the rookie ladder. Trading Scola and Brooks for the current third best rookie (who also happens to be a big man) who is competing against the likes of John Wall and Griffin?
I'd even include Cluth and some of the power dancers, hell, I would even consider moving some of the Rowdies in the deal, although Rocket Girl is an untouchable  Seriously though, I agree totally, ask the Kings what would it take.
Id trade half the starting roster for him. Certainly Scola and a few assets to get Kevin Love too. People dont getthe value of youth and the potential for these guys to be superstars with the type of situation we are now currently in. We are not trying to get this team to be Championship material right now because thats almost impossible. So we are gonna have to step back if necessary and trade alot to get one superstar type young player to build around who is young. If that takes Scola and Brooks to get a Cousins here? Then guess what? Scola is 30 years old and Brooks might leave us and hasnt played this whole year for aalready good team. We should do those deals in a heart beat now for young guys like Cousins and Kevin Love. Kevin Martin you say and Hill and Patterson for Kevin Love? Yep we should. Over do the trade a little to get back a young potential superstar with more years than Scola or Martin left to build around them in their primes reaching their best years and best teams around them.
From the few games watching Cousins, I'd approve.. but I doubt they'd trade him anytime soon. So fuggetaboutit-
Im pretty sure we can pry Marc Gasol away from the Grizzlies. Im sure they will take Brooks/Budinger and a pick. They are trying to get rid of Mayo also
That's too much talent for Cousins.. Just move scola to center and bring josh smith. Get rid of Miller and Adelman. and you'll have a spicy samich
I'm pretty sure you're wrong about Gasol. Mayo? Absolutely. Thabeet? Possibly. Gasol? I highly doubt it. I would definitely inquire about the availability of Thabeet and Mayo. I wonder if they would take Kevin Martin for them both.
Well considering his game is based on quickness and explosiveness, and he's already sitting games out with knee problems, that's exactly what I'm saying.
Cousins is fool's gold. He's overweight, unmotivated and has anger management issues. Yeah he's playing well for a rookie now, but he'll also make little to no progress over the next few years. Book it.
Oh great, I saw this coming. Clutchfans' solution to everything, trade for a player that is untouchable.
You would have to start with Cousins and then add whatever trash contracts the Kings hold. I know Beno Udrih to be one of them...... And Then give them 2 first rounders and probably 2 more assets. I would probably still do that. .
It's what's known as the Blake Griffin. Are you saying you wouldn't trade Brooks and Scola for John Wall as well because he hasn't proven anything? If you've been watching the games Cousins has been playing very well as of late and has already moved up to the number 3 spot on the rookie ladder. What is the obsession with this guy. He's the classic all talent, no mind player. No team will ever compete for a title with Cousins as a centerpiece. He is shooting a pathetic 42% from the field, 42% for a big man. He isn't a great shot blocker. He's a good, but hardly dominant rebounder. And I haven't seen anything resembling a good post game I'm not saying he'll never amount to anything,he could end up being a good player, but I certainly wouldn't give up a lot to get him because I don't see a major difference maker.
