I doubt that trading T-Mac will put us over the hump to win a ch'ship. I say we ride out the next one and a half seasons with our inconsistent and mediocre team. Once T-Mac and Yao contracts expire, we can start rebuilding. Our options for 2010 are to either rebuild COMPLETELY and pick up 2 superstars in the FA market, or resign Yao and rebuild the rest of the team with another star. To be honest, I don't see the Rockets getting James, Wade or Bosh. Not with the money that the Knicks have. They are sure to get 2 of them if they don't re-sign. But there are some other very strong players in that year's FA market. Anyway, the point of this post is that we should look to the future and forget about the now. (Kinda makes me wish we didn't trade the draft right's to Rudy Gay). Because, by Trading T-Mac NOW, we will not get much for him, and we won't acheive anything from that. We won't have a significantly improved team who can make a legitimate run for th ch'ship. It ain't gonna happen. REBUILD PLEASE!!! or trade half of our team for Rip...
I don't think people are demanding Tmac to be traded cus they believe they can get players that will bring a ring, the season is a waste either way, but at least you get to see players on the court that have heart
Trade Mac and his locker of Menopause medicine for a roll of quarters and 10 piece chicken mcnugget. Them deals is good eatin.
I don't know if it would work and I dont even know if I would do it.......Would you trade McGrady for Arenas? As we all know Arenas is out for the season and he just signed a 110 million dollar deal. I bet the Wizards would love to get out of the contract sooner and could do it if they took McGrady. I dont know if this would be a good move for us. It might be better to hold onto McGrady and be a player in the market in 2010. Arenas when healthy is a great scorer and is still young. He would be a decent fit with Artest and Yao in the long run. Is this possible?
There's no sense in screaming "trade T-Mc." Because of his salary and current set of players, T-Mc is virtually untradable. His problem for us -- as with most of the Rockets -- is that he is no longer "athletic." All basketball players are by definition "athletic," but T-Mc is no longer a member of the elite run-and-jump "athletes." We have Von Wafer and Brooks -- and that's it. The rest are hobbled by age (Mutombo), injury (Artest and Landry) or inability (Battier et al). Some like Scola are quick and crafty but not really athletic. Yao is big and strong but can't jump or move laterally with any speed. I hope you get my drift. We blew our chance to be "athletic" when we traded Rudy Gay for Shane Battier. It's been all downhill since. We have no draft choices for the summer so, basically, we're screwed until McGrady becomes tradable -- or his contract expires -- and/or we decide to trade Battier for some run/jump scorers. But that's just my view.
Pull the 1996 Rockets Move... Pull the 1995 Rockets Move... I think its time to break some of this team up. I remember in 1995 some people questioned the trade during mid season to break some of the Championship rockets up and TRADE for Drexler. I think its time to let McGrady go at this time. Package him for a deal or something but we need to do it...
Another trade T-Mac thread? You didn't see the other 10 already posted? Most of you guys are worse than 4 year old girls the way you whine and say the exact same things over and over and over and over again.

Wow, T-mac probably gives great lectures at home to his kids about instilling the values of hard Work.
Yup,he's done, that ain't no impressive any more,he wandered on the floor wasting time, which woulda been better to be distributed to Von,who's more energetic and athletic than T-mac is. He began to whine about something,he ain't done no **** but still complaining? He's disappointing me heaps. It's ashamed of being a T-Mac fan right now.I don't know what to say.
