This thread should be on the first page until he starts playing like a 20mil. all-star.

The team is better off trading Tmac at this point...i just don't like Tmac's game. Tmac can take ANY jump shot ANY time in the game all game long...and nobody is going to challenge him right?? RIGHT!! But when he's start missing...guess what he will do?? That's right...he will start passing the ball..he ain't going to draw double team anyway because it's hard to double team a SG that just run around outside. It's not like Yao where it is easier to double him. So Tmac will still pass the ball even though he ain't being double. So instead of driving to the hoop or do something..Tmac relies on his teammates to get back in the game. In fact, that's one thing i hate about his game, he relies TOO MUCH on teammates jump shots.

Now i have no problem with that....but what i like to see is him rely on himself MORE than his teammates. In other words, i don't want to see 50% to 90% rely on teammates...that's just wrong and that's just an example of being non-competitive. Tmac should will his way to the basket and draw fouls or something to turn games around rather than rely on his teammates to make long jump shots because as you know...you can live and die by your jumpshots...so if your teammates ain't making them, and you keep dishing to them, that's just wrong.

I feel the same about Yao too...sometimes guys are not even close to double team him and yet he wants to pass the pass like he doesn't want to take over the game. That's why people consider these two (supposedly LEADERS) as soft because they rely on teammates too much.

Trade TMac and you get Yao for free. Do it now before Rockets change it's 'crack' mind.

i posted this on another thread:

look for all those fans out there who think we are "hating" on Tracy we are not we are all just FRUSTRATED with his performance i mean the has SOOO much talent and he just doesnt care i'll point out 2 things that i have noticed about TMAC that got me thinking he is "fake" or just cares about himself first during the 22 game winning streak last season vs. the lakers on ABC he was interviewed and the first thing he said about the streak is "We are doing this even without an all-star" that to me is just him crying about not making the allstar team (or taking a shot at YAO) and the second time is this year vs. the MAVS on TNT when artest hit that crucial three ball to pretty much sealed the game McGrady was the first one off the bench and was yelling and screaming (never seen him like that) now you tell me if that was the same game and it was on FSN or MY20 he wouldnt even have gotten off the bench why doesnt he show that emotion when we play the wizards or pacers on FSN because he wants to be seen like a team player to the national media im about tried to this crap from him....................i cant believe im saying this but TRADE him

I like how you start off saying that you aren't hating on the guy... then you proceed to hate on the guy.

If we can get at least a Ray Allen type player for Tmac. I'd make that trade. But the problem is that we can't. I'd much rather just wait it out and if Tmac continues to average 16-5-5 on 40% shooting, trade him as an expiring in the offseason.

I would rather use his salary slot when it comes off the books than get borderline all stars who don't have much upside.

I tend to agree. See what T Ming can do in the playoffs. If they fail to advance, it's time for a full scale rebuild, in my opinion.

You guys make me sick. When T-Mac gets back to being healthy, I wonder how many of these threads will still be opening up. You guys claim T-Mac has no heart, lacks effort and so on. He is trying to impact a game the way hes use to but he cant. At least hes suiting up, unlike players like Marbury. Most of percentagges of gone up since last season, had he been healthy who knows how high those percentages could be.

Larry Hughes. It's a penny for the dollar trade type scenario in terms of talent.

    http://www.rototimes.com/article/2008/12/Eastern-Conference-Breakdown-16
However Hughes is a healthy body and maybe the Rockets end up with the deepest/best defensive 2/3 combo in the league though he is a chucker...

McGrady (2yrs) for Hughes (2yrs) + Gordon (exp) or Gooden (exp)

    McGrady +Head for Hughes + Hinrich (4yrs)

Tmac is gonna prove all the haters wrong. It's just too bad he needs to prove it to his own Rockets "fans".

Keep him and use the money to get Joe Johnson in 2010. We should save some money and be able to finally fill our point spot with someone that can shoot as well. Joe, Ron, and Yao would make a better team anyway.

Yes I want to trade him too. But his value is at the all-time low now. Efforts should be made to drive his value up. Hopefully we can find a psychologist or a magical doctor to make him "feel better" and play a stretch of game with 20PPG. You wouldn't want to trade a player like TMac when you cannot get 2 starter-caliber players in return.
