Some combination of Eric Gordon, Jae'sean Tate, and KMart Jr should be able to get a first round pick without impacting our team much in the long run. The easy target would be the lakers/pelicans FRP from the Lakers. If teams are lining up for Bogdonavich, Eric Gordon should also be desired. But doesn't seem like the Rockets are willing to trade Ego. I wish we'd take the Lakers first plus a second rounder or 2 and just let Ego go. Top 10 Protected is fine, because the Lakers will make the playoffs with Ego. I think the Rockets should take the best offer possible for those guys and anyone else not in our long term plans, but Stone does not seem to agree.

This team is disappointing not just because they are the worst record in the league. They don't seem to have a consistent direction or ideology. Players don't earn their playing time, get rewarded for consistent performance, or get penalized for playing outside of expectations. For a team with such inexperienced players, they don't seem to have the structure necessary. They have the worst record in the league but probably won't make many changes. It seems like the strategy is keep sucking and taking high draft picks and hope we get someone so good, we can't help but play well. it ends up with Wemby, that's great, but there aren't many signs that even a once and a generation player would turn things around for us very quickly.

PS: I think @Clutch should find everyone who has ever said they hope Eric Gordon retires a Rocket and ban them for life.

I feel like the deadlines with a lot of noise around them end up underwhelming. The quiet around this deadline makes me think something could be up

Trade deadlines are hard when you aren’t quite sure how competent your org is and your trade deadline track record is poor.

The **** I am hearing about the Rockets is pretty bad, and hard to believe.

The level of incompetence and two faced behavior is scandalous.

You can only lie and bullshit so long before it all falls apart.

…..you mean like when we’ve been told they turned down first round picks for Eric Gordon?

I'm getting tired of this "press conference" mentality where people think they have to lie and come up with bullshit scenarios to save face. Genuineness and accountability are becoming more and more valuable every day and people are learning to see through the crap. If you can't find a good trade for Gordon just freaking say so. Spare us the bullshit.

It is sad that you have to lie your way around your own fanbase.

And lying to your own co-workers.

That's literally what I said, bro. If he's a salary dump with no real assets required to obtain him, I would be very interested. I'm not sending first round picks for him.

I disagree Tate is a far superior player to Martin athleticism. Martin next contract is going to take some negotiating. He has worked well for us but his time here is done IMO.

I tried to consolidate all the stupid once .... It didn't work very well, only reached 5 pages. I'm kinda surprised it went that long.

I don't know how much it has to be shouted, but if this organization doesn't right itself really fast, I am concerned that even if we win the Wemby sweepstakes we won't be able to sign him. Right now, if I was advising any of the top picks I'd tell them to stay away from Houston and play in Europe if you can't force a trade on draft day.

They have to get better. The losing is poisonous at this point and it needs to stop. None of these guys are doing their careers any favors by being crap. Enough is enough.
