I don’t expect Gordon to be traded. I could see at best a minor move involving someone like Garrison Mathews just to open up some minutes, but I really don’t see them doing anything with Gordon unfortunately. It’s not the end of the world. They’ll let him go and Tilman will save some money instead. That’s basically how it goes every season.
Most of the players that the fans want to see traded are "Stone guys". He obviously covets his rare finds like Tate, Matthews, KPJ, Bruno and Nix. I think he has been afraid to trade EG for whatever reasons over the past few years. Maybe he is saving all of the cap space for Harden or Kyrie. Hopefully he has something big planned this summer to accompany our pick this year. But his love affair with with his favorites is beyond concerning to me.
I’m gonna be bummed when Josh Hart gets traded to a team that’s not us. Also, are we talking to Sac-Town about what it would take to get Mitchell? How bout the Clipper’s Moses Brown? there’s got to be opportunities to improve this team at the deadline. The free agents this offseason are crap. Do something!
Another development project. We’re having huge issues develop our own lottery picks and you want to compound that? If it’s for a second round pick or Boban sure but I wouldn’t give up anything of substance for him
Martin’s value is at an all time high so now is the time to trade him. We need to be the one that found him not paid him. A point guard in return would be nice. Maybe add someone like Fernando if needed to get the cap hit right because Martin makes at the minimum.
I've had enough of former high picks on this team. Hasheem Thabeet Jonny Flynn Jordan Hill Terrance "Squid" Williams Thomas Robinson They are likely being given away because they suck. No more shitty projects. I know the aforementioned players are from years ago, but tired of shitty project players lol.
I view Tate and KMJ as the same type of player except KMJ is much more athletic and fun to watch and has much more upside. We should get rid of Tate and keep KMJ unless he nets us a lottery pick (which likely won’t happen). Of course, if someone is willing to take Nix off our hands and KMJ is the price to do that….then I could live with it.
Nah. Pretty much all these guys came into the league older and most joined the Rockets after their first team that drafted them. They were struggling to be anywhere near productive in their mid 20s as Rockets. Jabari is 19 and its surprising but he's actually performing better than all of them at his age while all of them were older. Jabari has hope to be a border line all-star type player still. He could even surprise with more. It's still way way too early to tell.
Attaching assets to Nix to get rid of him would be silly to say the least. You can just cut him for nothing more than his cap hit of $1,563,518.
I don't want fancy things. Don't want Durant. You can keep Cam. But why can't we get a back up pg, 25yrs-29 of age? It would help out the players you are trying to develop.
It's because people are finally learning to post in already existing threads rather than start new ones when they don't have anything substantial to say.
He's super young. Can't really eval him. Most of the very best vastly underperformed that young their first year or two.
Stone with his annual desperation media leaks the day before the deadline. Teams lined up with first for the mediocre role players on the worst team in the league
I like that you don’t want to get too greedy, but I don’t think it’s too much to ask that we try to get a starting PG before we worry about getting a backup.
ideally not a bad choice at all. however, what is memphis getting for their only backup pg who allows morant to sit out from time to time? Nix?
