I have been mentioning reddic all along. I think he wold be a great fit. Yes he is white, and yes he can't create his shot but he comes off the picks very fast and has a quick release. They guy in an unbelievable shooter..which is exactly what we need..a spot up shooter when Yao and traccy get doubled..however his defense is not great and size isnt either...people have compared him to a steve kerr...do we want that on our first pick?...I think that would be fine...we need role players not another superstar
If we can offer up trash..which we have plenty of..then why not get Franis back..he played with heart and JVG never questioned his ability..only his decision making..I like Steve and I think he would be wiling to come back..he still l ives in Houston too...
Bonzi wells would be a good fit but why would he take a pay cut?...Plus he is nota great character guy...I don't know...i think its just wishful thinking...Alot depens on Sura coming back..when will they k now if he will come back...I think alot of it has to do with If SURA wants to come back....I hope he doesnt wait till the end of the summer to decide and screw us over..i.e Brett Favre....
I never post but read threads every day. Now i have a few things to say. Swift is very tradable to a team with a nash or a kidd. Nash could make him look just like Amare cause Amare isn't that good, Nash just sets him up so well that all he has to do is dunk. ok well maybe not just like amare but u know what i mean. And We should trade the new Half man Half the season for Paul Pierce.
All this talk about shooting guards ... there's no doubt that we need better shooters, but we also need defense and rebounding at the 4. Unfotunately, it's not that easy to find size and skill on the open market without giving away the farm. We need to draft Sheldon Williams, sign a guy like Sam Cassell, and trade Stro for a wing player who can shoot. Harpring, Wells, and Peja would all be interesting for signandtrade.
You can't be serious. Nash elevates everyone around him but let's not kid ourselves here, Amare is the real deal. If Amare's 26 PPG and thrashing of Tim Duncan and the Spurs could only be attributed to Nash then that would make Nash some kind of super-human basketball player the world has never seen before.
What if Rockets do a sign and trade deal with the clippers, who get alston and howard or swift and the rockets would get radmanovic and cassell and maybe ross.
Amare catches the ball under the hoop most of the time. Nash would make me look like a decent nba player.
Is there any way we could get S.Padgett back. I think we sorely miss a lengthy forward that could hit that 3. A Bullard clone if you will.

I heard JR Smith is in the dog house - maybe we can grab him up. Offer a trade to ATL for Josh Childress?
Sorry if this has already been proposed, but I'd like to make a spin off to the Deuce proposal: Trade Swift (instead of the pick) for Childress Draft Williams (tough PF next to Yao) And you have a balanced line up!
Question: The knicks owe Chicago a 1st riounder. . . does it *have* to be theirs? I mean . . our 1st rounder [so they can give him to the bulls] for Channing Frye maybe I think if they can use our 1st rounder. . . then they maybe desperate to get a 1st rounder to preserve their own . . . some wiggle room there Rocket River
Not 100% positive but I would think it has to be their pick not the one referred to as NY Knicks obtained from Houston Rockets.
It's most definitely the Knicks' own pick. Consider the fact that the Knicks currently own Denver's pick, #21 overall, and they possibly also own the #29 overall pick (which might be conveyed to Utah), and there is no mention of them conveying these picks to Chicago to satisfy the trade. Therefore, I'd say it's highly unlikely we get Channing Frye for our pick.
Okay...I'm probably dreaming but listen to this... Atlanta: Gets PF Stromile Swift, Houstons No. 8 Pick & No. 32 Pick (They lose SF/PF Al Harrington to Free Agency. Need a Big Man now.) (8th pick can then be used to get PG Marcus Williams, 32nd for whatever) Houston: Gets SG Josh Childress, No. 4 Pick, Atlanta 2nd Round 2007 Pick (Gets a SG. No. 4 pick fills PF to share with Howard) (2007 pick with stronger draft...we won't win it all next year, if best scenario maybe get to conference finals or so) Houston then signs Rasual Butler potentialy for half the MLE. (back-up SF to T-Mac or SG if Childress not ready) Get V-Span to agree to other half of MLE. (PG) C: Yao Ming / Mutumbo PF: Juwan Howard / No. 4 pick / Hayes SF: Tracy McGrady / Rasual Butler SG: Josh Childress / Luther Head PG: Rafer Alston / V-Span / Bob Sura
