This is a deep draft. I feel Morey will stick us with some Boring stats related guy like Arnette Moultrie, Terrence Jones(classic tweener), Kendall Marshall to cause more back court controversy in the future.

Who else is going to take on the risk of him leaving and have more to offer? At the deadline, we were reportedly the only team willing to take him on without an extension.

#7/8 will be a good prospect and #14 has a chance to be solid in this draft. They save a nice chunk of cap space with Dalembert's buyout. Suddenly they could have a good young lottery pick and lots of cap room.

It's unlikely (I think they will ultimately end up holding onto him at least to the deadline), but if they're going to go for something in this draft we might be the best bet.

No thanks. If we give up Lowry, we need a younger player than Pau.

he is a better player than anyone currently on our roster, he is 7 feet tall and he has two rings... He is not a elite player but he is probably the best we are going to get for Lowry and it doesn't look like he will be playing for us much longer.

Plus Gogi and Pau could be very interesting!!!

People forget Pau averaged 17 and 11 up until the last few weeks of the season.

If he can do 15 and 9 for the next 3 seasons and we can get a nice filler or somehow move up in the draft to land a young SG in Beal or J. Lamb, I see that as a top 5 team in the West.

Would much rather keep Scola's 16-18 pts 9 rbds a game.

I think with Gasol playing on a team where he is the ONLY legit scoring option (Camby isn't exactly an offensive threat) 19-22 ppg isn't out of the realm of possibility. You have to remember not only did he has an emergent Bynum playing along side him AND clogging the lane, he also had Kobe to share shot attempts with.

Everyone here seems to think Gasol is on the decline, and he might be. However, I don't think him putting 20 and 10 for another season or two would be a surprise to anyone. Keep in mind he's only 31. Another 4 more productive years is a reasonable outlook.

I agree. Gogi could possibly get him the touches that Fisher, Blake and Sessions couldn't give.

    Unfortunately.

With Motiejunas waiting in the wings, I love this deal. If Dragic hadn't emerged, it wouldn't be the same situation. But he did, so now the team has the luxury of getting a legitimate big man who's good on both ends of the floor for, essentially, a spare part. People are underrating Gasol. Adding Gasol to what we have improves the team a lot immediately, and the young talent we keep makes for a bright future.
