not a chance in hell i would trade kpj for duncan robinson, what the hell kinda garbage is that jeezes
How in the world is this loser moron who pollutes the board with his diatribes still not banned yet. Besides the fact that you may be the dumbest piece of sht I have ever encountered on here, now we are throwing around homophobic attacks too? You and that racist @Verbal Christ make a perfect pair, oh wait did I just bust your alt account?
He has $15.8M guarenteed on his contract. Unfortunately, he will very likely get all of that guarenteed money.
Based on the history of the NBA, that's not likely to happen. I don't believe any player has ever had a guaranteed contract terminated for anything other than drugs ( the penalty for drugs was written into the CBA). Latrell Sprewell attacked his coach and choked him at practice. There were plenty of witnesses. The Warriors immediately terminated his contract and he was suspended by the league for 1 year.. Sprewell and the NBPA filed an appeal and an independent arbitrator reinstated his contract and also reduced his suspension by 6 months. I'm guessing that KPJ gets his guaranteed money. Hope I'm wrong.
Unfortunately, no. He has $15.8M in guaranteed money on contract ( https://www.spotrac.com/nba/houston-rockets/contracts/). The only way that he doesn't get that money is if his contract were to be terminated and that's highly unlikely.
Congrats - i really needed to read another post: 1 Confidently declaring that, despite common sense, there are no greater public relations ramifications to acquiring a player who just tried to kill a wnba player with his bare hands, bc you say so! 2 listing a bunch of random trade destinations that don't make any sense for either team other than some vague allusion to "cap room" like it's June 2007 3 Bad analogy to players like Enes Kanter who were also traded but - and here's the distinction that I need you to pay attention to - did not try to murder anyone in the week prior 5 stars, will no doubt see this post again and again until KPJ is waived.
Right back at you, I never read your posting or comments....hate my time wasted. I'm so sure the same New York that doesn't prosecute murders and killers and issues no bond releases worries about their reputation..... because you say so. The woman in question is saying things didn't happen like the media is portraying it. I'll let that facts come out....but you keep playing Judge, jury and executioner on the internet. You nobody. The girlfriend was there, you weren't https://news.yahoo.com/major-detail-rockets-kevin-porter-201618675.html.
Another way of say, "you're right Apache.....as usual." Stick that in your hot box. I noticed you didn't put the comment of Kulbi9 that led to that comment. Where he came at me with all guns blazing.
Ummm, he's going to be suspended without pay for a minimum of 10 games. My guess is that he will be suspended in the 30-41 game range, and then cut by the Rockets (or another team if they trade for him). It won't affect salary caps, but he will lose a significant chunk of that money at a minimum.
If suspended, Kpj would lose the money but the Rockets still have to pay it. The money goes to NBA Charities. Likewise. If we cut him we still owe him his guarenteed money. Him being suspended has zero effect on our cap or how much cash we have to pay. We'd still owe him $15.8m Am I missing your point? If so, please clarify.
Don't see us acquiring an expiring contract for KPJ, who's only value is being an expiring contract. Best hope is that we take on a bad contract and get back a pick for doing so. Duncan Robinson, John Collins, or Davis Bertans are reasonable options.
I actually kinda hope they don't and basically cut him, we got a good enough squad to roll with now. DD
Personally, I'd rather eat the money and not bring in anyone in to take minutes from the youngsters. Going multiple years with a bad contract of somebody who isn't in our future doesn't appeal to me.
How much are we going to be under the cap wen KPJ is off the book next year? We can use that room to sign someone then. Hopefully by next year's offseason, we will have a better idea which young players we will hang our future on and may let go a few of them to get some solid veterans to compete.
Depends on the return and how the team looks in the first half or maybe even after the season. Doubtful there will be a worthwhile move out there.
