If Rockets are looking to dump salary to get under LT here are some possible scenarios:

Cavs have a 2.09m TE, if the +/- 25% rule still aplies, then Rockets can trade them Snyder.

Wizard's Etan Thomas is out for the season. Possible injury exception of 3.185m. Either Reed or Butler.

Portland's Greg Oden is out for the season. Possible injury exception of 2.331m. Either Reed or if the +/- 25% rule still aplies Butler.

Sean May is out for the season. The have just enough capspace to absorb the contract of either Reed or Butler.

I don't know about Pavlovic, but the reason why the Cavs didn't resign Varajao was because he and his agent wanted somewhere around the neighborhood of 5 years and 60 million, which is what most big men prospects get and ask for. The problem is that Varejao is not even close to being as good as Tyson Chandler, Andris Biedrins and even Samuel Dalembert.
