First of All, Tracy McGrady is putting up like 35 points a game. When we don't have T-Mac, we almost always lose. Trading him for some mid-level star like Manu would be a travesty. We would certainly be a much worse team as a result. The only way to improve while getting rid of T-Mac would be to trade him for the likes of Kobe. Just Remember, No T-Mac, no playoffs. Anyone who wants to trade Mac for someone like Manu, knows very very little about basketball. So quit talking, watch and learn.

I honestly would rather have Dwight than Yao right now... and Mike James has never hit his shots consistently.

    I still lubb0r Yao!

I don't know if simply trading T-Mac would be enough. Frankly, I am a huge T-Mac fan, win or lose. However, the problem is not with T-Mac solely. When he is taken out of a game, and Yao can't compensate we are pretty stagnant. The bench guys need to step up and take control. In all honesty, I would rather T-Mac shoot a jumper at the end of the game for a win, rather than Rafer, or someone else. He is human, and he can be taken out of the game by superior defense. When our two best players score all but 30 points of our total, the blame goes elsewhere, not to T-Mac or Yao. There is only so much they can do. Kobe w/out Odom, is a very sub par Lakers team. We need 3 all the good teams have 3 scores (Timmy, Tony, Manu; Allen, Pierce, Garnett), b/c you cant double team all three, its just impossible.

Ironically, a buddy of mine proposed a scenario in which we didn’t draft Yao, but drafted Amare, and didn’t trade for Battier and kept Gay + Swift. In a run and gun offense that might have been a monster.

I believe howard and mcgrady make a much better duo than yao and mcgrady but our franchise is screwed with yao as long as hes a cash cow

Once again....this thread is stupid and well......r3tardededed :)

However, that doesn't mean that our two superstars are perfect and untouchable. It can be argued that Yao's turnovers and defensive liability against fast little guys has cost us some games (Jazz series for example). But Tmac has his little annoying quirks too. If he is truly a superstar, he would find some way to rally his troops, maybe just show some more fire and passion because he's not really a vocal leader. Our superstar duo may be the most unselfish one in the league but they are also the most dull and lacking in success pedigree.

What we really need to worry about is our damn TEAM DEFENSE. What happened to simple, hard-working team rotation? Its not really that hard, especially after two years + of JVG disciplined defense

I would trade Tmac before Yao every day of the week.

Tmac has proven he can't lead....Yao deserves that chance.

just from business calculation, Tmac's stock isnt that high in the league right now after all these years of underachieving, so we wont be able trade him for fair value. Do you want to trade him for Maion+Diaw to make the Suns better?

No offense ***cough **cough Yao lover **cough***

Hasn't he been getting that chance before Tmac came? Recall that first round sweep with Stevie Franchise when he was still considered "THE Franchise?" I'm the most frustrated Tmac fan, especially at his first round exits, but I'm also a huge Yao fan but I'm not foolish enough to say that Tmac deserves to be traded (nor Yao for that matter) In case you don't know Tmac's past history he led a team that had ANDREW DECLAQRK (sp?) as the STARTING CENTER. Yup, who??? The best teammate he had then in Orlando was Drew Gooden and Armstrong (before he aged and left). Think about it, and everyone thinks that Lebron James has a bad supporting cast.

On the other hand, it was also Tmac's fault that he had to open his mouth and ruin the 3-1 lead on the Pistons (who, if I remembered correctly, went on to win the championsiop that year)

    lets be honest

your not gonna get equal value back. His current status is not worth lbj kobe wade TD garnett howard carmelo. Doubt sonics would even trade durant for him. Maybe you can get vince carter AI like player back for him

I do think the difference between Yao and Howard, TD or Garnett for example is basically is that he and the others can average if wanted around 25 ppg, but the points Yao allows are much more than the points the other 3 allow.

The same happens in some way to PHX with stoudemire, because the guy is a great offensive player but terrible at the defensive ends so he ends up A-giving up a lot of points or B-foul trouble.

Prepare yourself because when i said T-Mac was no going to get you more than Vince Carter i was bashed like hell.

Anyway i think is as you said, it will be very difficult to trade T-Mac for a superstar who had been past the first round on consistent basis.

Maybe Iverson could be a good fit. I think another option could be Kidd or someone like him. No way you could get CP3, Wade, Lebron.

Jumping on Kobe earlier this season could have it done but we´ll never know, also i think if T-Mac is to be traded we would have to force the other team to take oone of our PG and have back a solid PG. (the solid PG could be the superstar itself or someone coming along with it)

You know what holmes? You are entitled to your opinions, and I even agree with some of them. I like to use the trip-periods a lot as well, but damn...you really are butchering the English language. I mean be how you want to be, but you'll get more respect if you can just get your point across clearly. Holla.

trade t-mac and luther head and/or future pick for kobe bean bryant!
...if we do this, we dont need much else...

trade t-mac for tayshuan prince and rip hamilton and a draft pick!
..i like this if francis starts at pg..

t-mac and alston for j.o'neal and tinsley and draft pick...

t-mac for david west and peja...

t-mac for bargnani, anthony parker, and tj ford and filler? find a way to move alston as well.....

theres so many things you can do...geez imagine t-mac and bosh though, in the east...with moon coming up too and kapono raining 3s garbajosa, calderon....most of these trades would be good for t-mac, except hornets...same division and all..

Bc i honestly think the real problem is Yao AND T-Mac have too much of the same personality..its not gonna work..plus i just believe t-mac would thrive more with an athletic big man. Imagine someone as athletic as dwight chasing t-macs passes down and slammin with no mercy. Yao, not so much. I love the guy but, Yao is going to need more than just 1 player to go all the way..unless that other 1 player is kobe, lebron or wade. I think all 3 of those players replacing t-mac in this team would=sure contender....wade only bc he gets to the ft line like no other...

I love both yao and t-mac...but i just dont see it working...i can see this duo making 1 wcf appearance...thats it. Thats not good enough for me as a Houston Rockets fan. I want to see our team holding up that trophy, no matter who is doing it.

Hey douche bag, learn to spell before you talk sh*t here. From the way you write, either you are a 10 years old or you are dumber than a sack of nails. Once again, don't use the name of Hakeem to attack our Rocket player, you scumbag. I get sick to my stomach when I see Hakeem's name appears in the posts of a miserable hater like you. I really want to know what make you waste your life to hate on other people on the internet. Is your life really that sad and tragic? From the way you write, it's easy to tell that you are a miserable loser and you won't amount to anything in your pathetic life. I am not even trying to argue with a douche bag like you about the contributions of Yao to this team. Everyone can tell the purpose you are here just from bitterness and the language that you use in your posts, you "friggin uptight hoe".
