Stop calling "Trade TMAC" Who is going to take TMac and give away one of their key players? (i assume we expect a good player in return). If you want to get some good players for ROX through a trade, you should say "Trade Yao" because that can really get you some good ones for the rebuild or even being an instant contender with a happy TMAC.
1 trade is not going to fix this team. But the trade starts with McGrady. There is going to be alot of moves i feel going to happen before the deadline. I want Gasol, Mike Miller, Navarro, Andre Miller, Maggette, and Korver. Keep Yao, Alston, Scola, Mutombo, Landry, Novak, Brooks Resign Harris and trade the rest for those players.
sorry, bro things are going wrong direction, we have to make some changes we all know yao is not gona to trade, so that let TMC only option especially he earn 20M a year beside that hi, guys how long gona to take a rookie to post a thread is it depend on how long am i a clutch fan or how many replies i have posted? is it really hard for a guy like me long time rocket fan who lost ID really want to share my thought about rocket, especially at this hard time
This is an intriguing thread. Suppose that trading T-Mac was an option, who would we want in return? I had a look at the guards ranked by their points-per-game this season at: http://www.nba.com/statistics/playe...AME&qualified=N&yearsExp=-1&splitDD=All Teams and there aren't any obvious options for a 1-to-1 trade that can benefit the team. Everyone seems to have been complaining about T-Mac's low shooting percentages, so I suppose that if you are going to trade T-Mac, you may as well aim for someone with good shooting percentages. Here are the top 50 guards who also have 50%+ FGs: * Tony Parker 20.1pts 50.4 % FG * Deron Williams 19.9pts 50%1 FG * Steve Nash 17.7pts 51.7% FG * Mike Miller 16.3pts 51.4% FG * Ronnie Brewer 13.6pts 53% FG * Josh Childress 12.2pts 57% FG I also understand that we want a good forward, so there are the top 50 fowards who also have ~50% FGs: * Carlos Boozer 25.3 pts 57% FG * Caron Butler 22.4 pts 49.9%FG * LaMarcus Aldridge 18.5pts 52.9%FG * Tim Duncan 17.9pts 53.4%FG * Shawn Marion 16.4pts 51.9% FG * John Salmons 15.9pts 50.2%FG * Chris Wilcox 13.9pts 50.4%FG * Ike Diogu 13.7pts 57.1%FG * Emeka Okafor 13.6pts 51.2%FG * Craig Smith 11.4pts 57.1% FG * Antonio McDyess 10.8pts 55.1%FG T-Mac scores on average 23.3 pts with 43.6% FGs. So if he's to be replaced, we would probably need a combination that would give us about 20 points per game. Looking at the above lists, I know that there is no chance to get the likes of Steve Nash or Tim Duncan or Carlos Boozer. However, Mike Miller, Ronnie Brewer and Josh Childress seem more or less attainable among the guards, and Craig Smith and Antonio McDyess seem more or less attainable among the forwards. I don't know whether any of these players are attainable with a trade that involves T-Mac, but which one of them do you guys think are worth considering?
Mike Miller shooter with size and Navarro. Andre Miller is good too shooting 49% whats good about him is he takes high% shots who knows his limitations with in a offense.
Beat this trade!! http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...991~306~434&teams=26~26~26~10~10~10&te=&cash=
This first trade is the key to trading away McGrady. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...3~1051~2445&teams=10~10~20~20~20~20&te=&cash= Then trade 2.. because you traded for a playmaker in the first trade. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...=996~558~1778~532&teams=10~10~10~29&te=&cash= Final trade. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...=996~558~1778~532&teams=10~10~10~29&te=&cash= Yao/Scola/Mutombo Gasol/Landry Maggette/Korver/Novak Mike Miller/Navarro Andre Miller/Alston/Brooks Why not?? upgraded position 1 and 4 because that is the key out West. Mike is a sharp shooter. Maggette is a slasher. Andre is a playmaker who creates problems when he attacks. Gasol is another post presence. This line up has the best front court in the NBA with some pretty nice shooting. Keep McGrady in the division makes alot of sence, because he gets to face the Spurs, Mavs, and Hornets more often then he faces us.
I admit Tmac is disappointing the fans/ But to trade him now is not a smart move. Does anyone seriously believe that we will be able to get back comparable return?
here's a vid of kobe owning tmac... <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dB9qyqXayv0&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dB9qyqXayv0&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
We would like to trade him but who will buy? I guess only New York or Dallas will spend that money on him.
what's comparable return? what's tmac's real value? some1 here thinks he's still a top 5 guards, if that's true, we will never get equal value back, but if that's true, why this thread exists? is he a top ten guard? a top 20 guard? if true, there are some options.
Works both ways. I guess Kobe's D isnt great either. How can he allow a non passionate gimpy quitter to just drive by him like that
That would be nice, but Memphis is giving away a hell of a lot for McGrady. Maybe if it was Miller, Navarro, Swift, Stoudemire...something like that. In either case, pretty much a pipedream that all 3 scenarios would happen in real life. T-Mac / Battier / Draft Pick for Howard / Terry / Dampier maybe, maybe no?
