Statistically Manu has been the best sg in the game, and much better than Tmac. Its just he only played 28 minutes, put him on a team that needs him more and he averages 26 6 and 6 with tremendous %, one of the most underrated players ever
I'd trade him for Kobe. I can't stand the jumpshots in the clutch, the walking up and down the floor, the not contesting a shot on a fastbreak, the half ass defense in general and the holding the ball at the end of the quarter. He is still very talented and vital to the team's success, but all of that stuff still irritates the hell out of me.
Nah, I won't trade T-mac for Manu. I'd rather trade BAttier for Manu, or maybe Alston + Snyder + Aron. Our future.Brooks for Manu. What? I'm crazy? Then so is the proposal by the poster.
Yes thats right, but you have to consider that manu plays a lot of time with the bench players and he ussually plays great in the four quarter when T Mac start shooting his horribles jumpshots and dont playing for the team. Off course T Mac is a great player and he give us a lot of good moments, but i thing its time for change ( Its only a opinion, dont be so angry) I dont use to write because my english is terrible (as you can notice), but i love the the rockets)
we've already touched on the whole jumpshots in the clutch. Kobe does the same. But hold up....holding the ball at the end of a quarter? What else is any player going to do? You kill the clock so you have the very last shot of the quarter. You don't risk a turn over or anything. Why does that annoy you?
It's ok, your English is still better than a lot of Americans. You are entitled to your opinion, but Tracy is going to win us more games than he loses. Manu just isn't a #1 option on his team, until he is, we can't trade our #1 option for him. We know what we are getting with Tracy as a #1 option, we don't know what we get with Manu. We only know he's awesome off their bench, typically against other bench players (not always).
I thought TMac was off against GSW and I was hoping coach Adelman can create some game plan to score when our superstars are off and that plan includes no 3s even for superstars. The gameplan that is needed when our superstars are off is to pass more and better to or from driving or cutting players to open players inside the paint or near the paint.
I can allow many of you loving TMac but some of the posters here seems unrealistyc, TMAC is not the worth of players of the likes of Kobe, Duncan, LeBron, or Anthony. Players that have proved themselves and the rest of the league that they can carry their teams deeper in the playoffs than the rockets with TMAC this guys all overperform when needed and TMAC is not famous for doing so. That said i can agree that TMac can be traded for similar players of the likes of (don´t bash me truth hurts) Vince Carter. Vince Carter is stat wise, salary wise, and playoff wise almost the same as McGrady. As for the case of Ginobili, i don´t think the guy can average better than tmac by playing 35 mins a game, but i´m sure, for what i´ve seen on the NBA finals the past 5 year that the guy always over performs when matter, being a clear MVP against the Pistons 04 or 05 defense (i don´t remember) and showing a clear team first attitude letting Parker fill role on the Spurs that he deserved more (second scoring option). I agree Ginobili is not first scoring option on regular basis for the Spurs but i´m sure i can google up many games when he was, starting and as a substitute. Just for the record Ginobili last year averaged 14 ppg on 4th quarters of closing games in the playoffs.
