Were you not able to find the 30 other trade Tmac threads? Did you really need to start a new one?

Man at least spell check your post before pressing submit.

You think? TMAC has no heart to win. Only thinks about how to be franchise player. Disgusting now

    Tracy McGrady

    for

    Randy Foye
    Corey Brewer
    Craig Smith
    Theo Ratliff's $11.66M Expiring Contract

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...~3003~687~3031&teams=16~10~10~10~10&te=&cash=

    Minny:

    PG- Jaric | Telfair
SG- TMac | McCants | Buckner
SF- Walker | Gomes | Green
    PF- Al Jefferson | Richard
    C- Doleac | Madsen

    Houston

PG- Brooks | Foye | Rafer
SG- Foye | Bonzi | Head
    SF - Battier | Brewer | Snyder
    PF - Scola | Hayes | Smith
    C - Yao | Ratliff | Landry | Deke

we'd probably need to get rid of James, Bonzi, Francis, Snyder, and Novak for either a big PG, big SG, or big PF, but i'd take that younger, hungrier line-up (w/o TMac) over any line-up with him in it, based on how he's played recently.

and Minny, though this decimates their youth movement, would still have to be excited over a line-up with Jefferson-TMac-'Toine-McCants-Jaric. that ALMOST makes them a playoff team again.
and it gives Houston something (different) to look forward to, instead of this same, lazy bullshi*.

How did we go from 4th/5th seed championship contenders to blowing the team up and wanting to build around YAO/FOYE/BREWER?

If people thought 500 ball was ugly, with that line up we'd be lucky to be play 200 ball.

hate to tell you this, but if the season were to end today, not only would we not make the playoffs, we would get swept. theo's $11.66M expiring contract would be a big chip that we could turn around and trade to someone else, with, say Mike James & Bonzi.

when your team plays better with your $19M star player sitting on the bench (or grimacing in the locker room), it's time to sell your stock.

I dont think we would get anywhere with that lineup. I think we'd be better off trading Yao...Dont get me wrong I like Yao....but I think if we dont win NOW with him....which we are not...then we need to trade hime while he is still worth something....I would take Bynum and Odom for Yao and Scola...As far as Tracy goes...No one will touch Tracy unless its for a bunch of SCRUBS and lottery picks...His bad back and lack of effort has destroyed his trade value....I think Morey made the statement about not trading Mac only after LA told him to F him self...They want Yao.

unless we want to rebuild for the future and kiss our championship hopes goodbye, tmac should not be traded unless its for another superstar swingman like kobe, dwade, or lebron. the rockets have built their offense and players around tmac. without him, they can't win. the record with and without him speaks for itself. i really think they should have traded for kobe when they had the chance.

First of all the Spurs are not going to trade Ginobili to a division rival.

Secondly, T-Mac for Kobe is not going to happen because they want to keep Kobe and join him with Yao. Rockets aren't going to go for that. Neither are the Lakers going to take T-Mac for Kobe because Kobe is better.

Third, A trade with Dallas is out of the question because of the aforementioned reason. Division Rival.

Fourth, we need outside shooters and a distributing point guard. I would take Jason Kidd for T-Mac in a heartbeat but Kidd is too old. We need young blood at the point. I would sign Chris Paul of the Hornets and let T-Mac go play for them.

5th, a legitimate trade of scorer for scorer would be Gilbert Arenas for T-Mac. Arenas wants to play for a contender and always fills up the stat sheets. Agent Zero has drive and he doesn't lay down.

I've skimmed most of the posts in this thread, and IMO most of us are clueless about why the Rockets are in a mess. The real blame is not with the players but the management.

Moneyball Morey saddled us with slow, limited players like Battier, Hayes, Landry and Alston while trading away athletes like Rudy Gay and, yes, Stromile Swift. He lucked into Luis Scola, but for some reason he is not starting (huh?)

Adelman can't implement a decent offense because three of our starters not named Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady can't function in the offense. We wonder why we still play JVG ball when all we have to do is look out there to see JVG players.

All we need is to shed these players for one young, tall SG with some skills -- Gerald Green, C.J. Miles, Antoine Wright, Martell Webster, etc. -- they are out there.

Unchain Adelman! Get him his type of players and let them play his type game even if that means sacrificing T-Mc (which I think would be a mistake).

Jason Kidd, Sean Williams and Antoine Wright for T-Mc works if we jettison Hayes and Landry, who would no longer be needed. Of course, no team would claim them off the waiver wire which would tell us a lot.

Bibby, Artest and Francisco Garcia for T-Mc also works. There are lots of possibilities for a T-Mc trade to strengthen our entire lineup and cut the dead wood.

If Houston is stupid enough to make that trade, I will be the happiest sports fan in the world. Yao and Kobe would be an absolute orgasm compared to Yao and "It's on Me."

Kidd is too old......I would want more for McGrady.

But, I think the team would be better instantly at least for now.

Having a QUALITY PG who can control the tempo and get others involved makes all the difference in the world.

Getting others involved doesn't matter much when the players miss the wide open shots they are already getting.
