I think "Ming the King" has gone into hiding because he knew that he was gonna be ripped for making another stupid "trade Yao/Tmac" thread.

I say we trade him and the rest of the YOF's along with TOF's for new quality posters that don't kiss one person's ass exclusively.

what have that pathetic idiot got to do with asia? keep your insults to that dude and stay out of asia, if you really do know where it is. No point directing insults to a certain region as i can see alot of "pathetic scumbag" posters from all around the world including US. Keep those insults personal, and stay there.

    Manu got

    3 NBA championships
    1 Olympic gold medal

    T Mac

in 4 years with Orlando and 4 with the rockets never win a Playoff series.

My point in this thread was start thinking that the way T Mac plays doesnt help enough to win important things.
The manu's Trade was only an excuse, but i thing that brings a lot of points on the table:
I dont see in him a leader that gives his best effort in every games. He is not playing defend (against Kevin Martin is a good example) and i dont like how he ussully plays in the four quarter (he doesn't attack the basquet, too many jumpshots, and a lot of player defend him because they know he will not pass the ball ( ok, RA is not a great option)

Again, dont be so angry, is just an opinion, I really hope I'am wrong so we can pass a first round.

I'm trying to constructively analyze this:

Enough said. These speak for themselves. Just be prepared to get burned dude. Go eat some of Yao's PrOn (innuendo)

are you serious?? Last year when Yao was out what was our record without him?? 22 wins - 10 losses!! Who did that? TMac! All alone without Yao in a tough western conference. Talk about haters! Record speaks for itself. All the lame excuses about how TMac is lazy on defense, jacks up too many jumpshots, not consistent like Yao, can't lead, are all bunch of crap. Coz the fact of the matter is, without Yao we are still a decent NBA team (if last year's record proves, we are actually a very good nba team), without TMac we are plain horrible!! SO STOP HATING BLINDLY, LOOK AT THE FACTS

Yea he does, like when TMac is out, our record is what 11 wins - 41 losses? Hate to bring up facts again and again, but stop it TMac haters. I love Yao but don't hate on TMac. You won't find any other star of TMac's caliber who will defer to Yao as much or who is as unselfish as TMac is.

By your logic we should go ahead and trade Yao for Horry while we're at it. Hell, Beno has more rings than T-mac. Better yet Mike James has a ring, maybe the Cavs will trade Lebron for him.

Why don't you also include all star appearances, scoring titles, finishes in MVP voting in this run down?

    Pete Chillcut-one ring
    Charles Barkley-none

clearly Pete Chillcut was the better player.

That video doesn't mean jack anymore.. First the video show's him going to the basket over 50% of the time... In the game how many times do you think he attacks the basket? And 2nd most of those awesome dunks were his 1st year as a Rocket ( personally his best ever year as a Rocket ) He needs to lose more weight because he doesnt have that explosiveness anymore??

You are aware that he's coming of a 40 point game, and is currently third in the league in scoring, his highest as a Rocket. Read the front page folks we're losing because all these "scorers" that we brought in aren't producing. So please, hate on Bonzi, Battier, Mike James, Rafer all you want but these 'Trade Yao'/'Trade T-mac' threads are moronic.

That makes me wonder, why aren´t there any threads proposing trade deals including James, Wells and Alston (which i see as the most underperformed crew).

More reason to TRADE HIM..If the stock is high sell and get good value in return :) Don't trade him when he's in a shooting slump or when his back is in another spasm

C'mon dude, the Spurs won 3 championships, not Manu. You don't think McGrady would have won a few championships if he were on those teams instead of Manu.

The olympic gold was a fluke. Team USA didn't play good against several teams during the last few international tournaments, not just Argentina. Plus, Argentina had several other quality players on that team, including Scola.

The bottom line is that T-Mac is one the supremely gifted players in this league.

Manu is a 6th man. I understand the method behind Popovich's madness of bringing Manu off the bench, but do you think any coach in this league would consider bringing McGrady off the bench for any reason, including Popovich? No.

Manu has worked himself into a top-tier player but he can't touch Tracy at the end of the day.

No way do you trade Tracy McGrady for Emanuel Ginobili. Manu looks like a borderline superstar on the best team in the league, but he would turn into an average player on most other teams, including the Rockets.

I somwhat agree and at the same time disagree with you, i think Manu could have far better numbers than in the spurs by playing in the rockets in place of T-Mac because of a more oriented offense through him, BUT he won´t reach T-Mac level and that´s out of question. About Manu being able to finish games better than T-Mac even Manu has done this consistently in FIBA (40 mins games) he is able to do it in the NBA bacause of how Popovich allows him to use his effort mostly on 4th quarter situations than on the entire game, he will somewhat loose this as a Rocket because he will need to play hard for
30 minutes before reaching the 4th quarter disabling his capacity to take over there.

Good organizations and systems typically make players look better than they really are individually.

Average players blossom in a good system while they struggle on mediocre or poor teams. Examples: Raja Bell, Matt Barnes, Jason Kapono, Ben Wallace.

Great players flourish in a good system and still flourish on mediocre or poor teams. Examples: Tracy McGrady, Baron Davis, Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen.

If Manu played for Houston in place of McGrady, you would at least see a drop in his percentages. At the same time, he would no longer be able to take for granted and rely upon such a good system like that of the Spurs. Perception of Manu would suddenly become that he is an average to slightly above average NBA player.

Carrying the load on a mediocre or bad team is a lot more difficult than playing any role on a good team. There are very few players in the league that can handle this pressure. One of them is named Tracy McGrady.
