I remember he played pretty good against the rockets in the summer league when donte got the 40 points, but that's about it.
i agree. and given strawberry's numbers in phoenix (31.5 % fgs, 47.4 % fts) cutting him will be an easy decision. come on, people, it's not like the suns don't need youth and talent. in fact, they do need it much more than we do. that's why you should understand where morey's coming from with this trade.
He hits a winning shot against Nuggets... http://broadband.nba.com/cc/playa.p...dia/nba/nbacom/pod/pod_071025.asx&video=blank
As I remember this dude can really play. I like this trade, now we can get rid of Luther Head. Damn, this season is gonna be exciting. Morey is doing an excellent job.
Completely disagree. Getting Artest helps us so much that if Landry isn't signed, I'd still consider the offseason an A+.
Morey turned a partially guaranteed contract into a non-guaranteed contract. Strawberry's getting waived.
Since Strawberry has a non-guaranteed contract,I expect him to be a practice player in the pre-season.I doubt if he will make the team, but the Rockets might give him a chance.
I like the trade and a fan of Strawberry but I doubt he will make the team as the roster stands now. If Morey really likes him, he can get deals done to make room for him or use him as a trading piece in another deal.
right now i would better play strawberry than luther. this guy has shown he has something to show, he needs to get playing time. maybe rockets are not the righ team for him, because we wanna win it now and you may be right. but it doesn't change the fact he can be a solid player in the future
Scratch that. They can take him into training camp. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?page=2008freeagents
...in everything accept 3pt shooting. If Head doesn't have to handle the ball much (which he shouldn't, playing with guys like Artest and Barry) then i think Head would still play more. We would have options if one of our bigger wings (Tmac) got injured, though.
