Well if you-know-who goes out again with an injury it might be a good idea. Our future might be brighter with a younger guy,
Having Shane Battier on the team doesn't mean that we don't need a younger, more talented SF/SG who can fit in within the team concept. Almu and Carl Herrera especially tend to overlook this point. Battier and Tracy need help, they can't keep on going on playing 40 plus minutes a night for 82 games plus the playoffs.
That's easier said than done. The Rockets had Snyder and Green, but didn't feel they can help the team win. They've just gotten Mike Harris, but he's more of an undersized PF than a SF. I think this will be a position that the Rockets try to shore up in the offseason.
Like Steve Kerr said Battier is a guy who will make anybody's team much, much better. Great guy, positive, plays unbelievable defense and in my opinion is more versatile than Rudy Gay is. When you guys are so much calling Rudy Gay how about this: -Rockets drafted the guy by instinct, just a good SF and then traded him LIKE A 8th pick to Grizzlies, great thread made this so much better because you can't risk with rookies, practically they got Shane for Stro, 1st round pick which is trade that MADE BOTH TEAM MUCH BETTER -Shane Battier is so much better defender than almost any of SF in the league, can stop any given player and hustles -He is so positive guy, chemistry adopted, loves to smile, great personality -He's a very good shooter, maybe he isn't so much big threat offensively but he certainly takes less shots as JVG said and would have bigger avg if he cared more about stats -He's a guy who carried his team to NCAA championships, thank you -More girls are attending the games Tell me again what type of player would you like more? Btw, your sig is fuuuuuuunnnny, I expect MORE of veterans like you are
I'm well aware of that. I was making a comment in reply to Almu's post which implied that we didn't need anyone else at 3 spot apart from Battier.
