That really is not saying much AT ALL ... In the Eastern Conference SF could have single handedly carried the Magic to the playoffs as well. Stop comparing apples to oranges. TMac on the Rox probably would not have been anywhere near the playoffs the last 4 years in the West.

Not to mention that with the new rules admittedly can't even beat a zone defense. No way he is in the top 5 players in the league. Not saying that Steve is a better player, I just don't think T-Mac is near as good as most people make him out to be. Tmac for SF and Cat isnt a dumb move, I just don't think it makes the team better.

Steve and Mobley for McGrady and Lue, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Probably even before the heartbeat.

Lue played with Shaq, played with Kobe, played with T-Mac, and played for Phil Jackson. Championship experience, great defense, and wonderful asst-to ratio. I think he also played with MJ right? That's pretty damn good too. I'm pretty sure he'd fit in beautifully with our system.

As for T-Mac, no comment. He is a top 5 player, and it's pretty safe to say that, at no point in his career will Steve be better than T-Mac. Although Steve is DAMN good, he's not DAAAAAAAyyyyyyyUM good.

Obviously though, Orlando would never do it. It's absolutely silly to think they would, unless we threw in Cato and took on some crappy contract of theirs.

hmm. i would think about what you said. Playing the western teams four times steve's record was 44-38. T-mac's team had a worse record than that...

*lol* What are you talking about? The Rockets team last year would've been a seven-seed @ least in the Leastern Conference, probably higher considering the team's record would've improved by @ least five games by playing in the East. Also, the team with the best record NOT to make the playoffs (47 wins I believe) would've easily made it. T-Mac can barely make it as an eighth in the sorry-ass East, what makes you think Francis couldn't?

Keep in mind, I'm not doubting how great T-Mac is -- I think it's a joke that ppl now are trying to come down on him because of the Rivers' firing -- but, the trade isn't the 'slam dunk" others think it might be. And, there is NO CHANCE of this going down.

    oh jesus.
honestly, the only thing tmac has on steve is size. the only thing. the magic was in the playoffs because they play in the east, in the worst division. tmac does NOT make anyone better, isn't that the knock most of you people have on stevie?
you silly little freaks are also talking about trading 2 fairly good jump shooting, 20+ pts a nite guys that are learning to play pretty damn good defense, for one 30 pt a nite guy who doesnt know what defense means, and can't shoot the ball to break a zone.

dunno who said it, but the threads would all say the exact same thing, replacing francis with mcgrady. just stop it, and see what happens.
