"A source that may or may not be reliable, and in fact very well may be completely insane, informs InsideHoops that the Raptors are talking about trading Keon Clark and possibly Dell Curry to the Trail Blazers for Bonzi Wells. Also, if the Raptors can manage to unload Tracy Murray, preferably for draft picks, they would then buy out Yogi Stewart's contract and do their best to sign free agent guard Shammond Williams. "(from insidehoops.com)

I found this rumor on insidehoops.....Keon Clark has a lot of upside.

The Raptors need a starting SF, Mo Pete won't cut right now for a team shooting for the NBA Finals. Bonzi would give them a nice starting SF alongside Vince Carter. Bonzi can score in a variety of ways, and he has an excellent post game. The Raptors would miss Keon though. Keon brings the Raptors an outstanding shotblockers, and he runs the floor really well and brings a lot of energy.

    Except that Bonzi is 6'5

Peterson at least has the height to play against the other SF's.

Carter is fine at the small forward. I think that source really is insane, Keon Clark can get 10 and 9. The Raps can do better than Wells with a Clark package. Yogi Stewart? I thought it was Michael Stewart. Maybe not.

Settle down - better than Bonzi for Keon Clark??? Bonzi is a fine SG who finds ways to score! The Raptors would pull the trigger on that trade in a second - Carter would still play SF and Bonzi could slot in at SG and give them a mean looking back-court!
Of course it would leave the Raptors pretty in the backup big man department.

    Am I missing somthing?

Bonzi was Portlands best player last season...he got injured and they collapsed...

Now...he is in every trade rumour around. Why??????

Is it purely character ? ie, they think he is another nut case and they already have one in Wallace...?

I've heard that Bonzi doesn't want to compete with Derek Anderson for the job.

I said package deal with Clark not straight up. I think Clark is a coveted big man who is more desirable than Wells regardless of who is actually better. They could probably land a Dickerson, M. Miller, Tim Thomas, or B. Russell if Clark was involved. There is a nice market for Clark, I think Wells is fine but they should have some other options.

I disagree that the Bucks or Magic would part with either of their players for Clark, and I think most would agree that Wells is a more desirable commodity than either Russell or Dickerson. Websites seem to be in love with the idea of Wells being traded, but the word from the Blazers and Bonzi is that he's staying put.

Normally I would agree with you about Bonzi, but I think that Dickerson is the more valuable commodity right now because Dickerson is also young and explosive and talented, and while Bonzi may be the better all-around player, he is coming off a serious injury and that tends to turn off other teams.
