ya, know. After thinking about this, this is a really bad trade. This would give us 2 Olympians (Allen and Yao) on the same team, leaving Steve who thinks he's an Olympian "on the outside looking in" and "sulking" and his best buds off to San Francisco and "he being left at home." I can see it now: "There's something up with Steve" he doesn't look happy.
Rockets need to make any trade possible b/c their playoff life is smaller by the sec. Just remember the Drexler Trade. THAT WAS GREAT.
So will you guys think that the franchise is tacky if they play Cuttino tonight and announce the trade immediately afterwards? "errr... early Thursday we solidified the trade" We need this game tonight.

yeah, of course I did, but I trust that Clutch is a professional and his "sources" are professional. When he is vague I can't tell whether he's honoring his sources, waiting until he ABSOLUTELY sure so he doesn't damage his rep, etc. I'm asking someone who's been through this before on this board to give their opinion. Just excited about this team, that's all.
I'm not sure Francis can be denied a place on the Olympic team once he's playing for a playoff contender.
I'm still trying to learn how to read Clutch. Historically, we've had sketchy rumors be spot on. Odder things have happened... But rest assured we won't know exactly what has gone down until it's definitely going to happen or until it's definitely not going to happen. Clutch cares too much about the team to just give us information to build up his stature... There are other insiders on the board, however...

Thanks... I know like everyone else, I'm just really excited about the prospect of getting a stud like Ray Allen. Like I said earlier, I don't blame clutch or expect to know anything for sure, just looking for some indication to how legit this is.

most days i open a thread and out of 30 post 4 are readable to me cause the other 26 post are by the same 4 people.
this trade rumor just doesn't sound believable... forget about trades what the rockets should consider is signing karl malone on a short term low seven figure sum (say 5 mill). possible depending on how much malone wants a ring.
