everything is not lost yet, there's still 2 2stars players available !! (washington and gansey ... btw they fill our need of backup at 1 and 2) ... CD ... go get'em tiger !
http://nbadraft.net/profiles/shanebattier.htm http://www.nbadraft.net/admincp/profiles/rudygay.html EVEN THOUGH SHANE BATTIER HAD A HIGHER SCORE, WOULD YOU WANT A SCOTTIE PIIPEN-RUDY GAY OR SHANE BATTIER- BOOBY JONES?
rudy didnt play that well in the tournament, i thought roy was better. battier is a solid player and he can hit open jumpers. lets not jump over the cliff just yet. we still can still sign some good free agents and do some trades. we need to sign an OTIS THORPE type player to help YAO. keep in mind it was the HEAT that won the championship, not the Suns, Not the Mavs.
If one teams COMPLETELY luv the trade then the trade is probably a bad one, and right now i cant find a single memphis fan that is unhappy about this trade.
This is what I walk into as a first post! It would be easier, and less painfull, to just drop a cinderblock on my feet than like what happened in the Rox draft. I'm not gay, the Rockets aren't out of the draft closet with one, and nobody is going to be very gay about this except Shane Battier... the horror, the horror...
i was going to welcome you into the community.... however, the last two lines of your post made me want to kick a puppy. regards, -Tracy McGrady.
This is unbelievable!!!!! We traded a future star for a 28 year old slow footed role player...i can't not believe it still...bad management... I am curious what T-mac might be thinking..
gay for battier = good trade for us gay + swift for battier = bad trade for us we had too many holes as it was, now we have another hole, chuck hayes is good, but not that good, just imagine if we got mike miller, then we cud play small ball....while kinda playing big ball check out the line up yao 7'6" battier 6'8" mcgrady 6'8" miller 6'8" alston 6'3" that is a scary line up...
All the teams that Rudy G worked out for, didnt draft him. He didnt even work out for Griz but they selected him. Maybe he is just getting over hyped? : p..
The sad thing is, by all accounts, this trade was considered the absolute worst case scenario for Rockets management. They would have only made this trade if every single player they wanted was gone, and every other trade they wanted to make was nixed. So don’t think that the Rockets don’t realize they got hosed. Many people that attended the draft party last night have reported that CD was down in the dumps after the trade was announced and looked like a defeated man. I find it funny how some here are defending this trade and saying it’s a good move, when I don’t think even the general manager thinks it’s a good move.
It was one season where half the team was injured for most of the season. You can't accomplish anything w/o a full squad.
why would the ******* a.k.a CD be down in the dumps ? I hope he didnt think it was a good deal!!! I can imagine his pale lookin ass wearing his bible-thick glasses gettin off the phone with Jerry West thinking he accomplished a major feat. Only to later find out, the the whole city of houston is ready to riverdance on his balls with 9 in stilletoes.
