Do we have enough shots to go around with Sam on the team? I thought he is a shooting first PG, takes a lot of shots. He is a good shooter, though.
I'd love Sam back on our team. He really is the missing spice in our salsa. His shooting, court sense and leadership would be beneficial to Yao and TMAC.

My oh my! Sam I am here would make us contenders this year. He fills all but our rebounding problems. Sam is a late game assassin, a great point, and knows when to shoot and when to pass. Not sure about his D, but it can't (not even 10 yrs from now) be worse than Ward's. I hope the wolves take Howard and Ward off our backs.
there was a Kurt Thomas for WallyWrold trade rumor before the season starts. maybe Sam's more expandable now that they resigned Troy Hudson. how about a 3-way trade: New York gets: J. Howard Minesoda gets: K. Thomas, Houston's 1st pick (#14~#20) Houston get: Sam I am the Knicks are high on Sweetney but have not enough pt for him to develop. K. Thomas make it clear he doesn't want to come off the bench so maybe trade him for a professional like Juwan who's willing to sacrafise for the team makes sense for them. for the T-Wolves, if they seriously considered the K.T. for Wally trade then a Sam for K.T. + a 1st rd. pick should be even attractive. don't know if Eddie Griffin'd change their interest in K.T. though? if we can't get Sam I say we wait till the offseason and sign B. Jackson to the M.L.E. he's not traditional pg but a solid defender and rebounder for his size and can shoot the lights out from anywhere on the court. or maybe D. Stoudmire?
I would only want the Rockets to get Cassell if they feel they can legitimatly vie for a championship this year or next. He is 35 and his body is starting to breakdown. I would love seeing Cassell back in Houston, and would be excited if this did indeed happen, but I just don't feel he is the best solution right now and into the future.
Also, Olajuwon has miracle surgery that makes him 20 years younger, and he comes out of retirement to play for us again. And I want a pony.

So Clips give up their best player for MoT, who they let go and who would come back with a much bigger contract? But then again, it is Sterling.
You can't package the TE with other players. Unless Sam's contract is under $6 million, we don't have a hope in hell. Unless we trade the TE for another player that Minnesota wants and package them with someone from our squad they already like. Unfortunately, I can't think of one that they would need outside of Yao and TMac.
Care to name those sources? I'd love to believe these are real possibilities, but they're more likely to be just some web-only sportswriters trying to get some publicity.
I like Sam and would love to see him back in a Rox uniform...but more realistically I think the Rox should go after Nick Van Exel. Having an ok season off the bench but he is preventing Sebastian Telfair from getting adequate playing time. We get a distributor who is not afraid to shoot it.
I would love to get Nick the Quick but i dont think we have anything that Portland would want. Maybe Lue + future first round pick + T.E. for Nick Van Exel. I doubt they would do that though.
More like a second round pick and a player to be named later. Nick is used up. Portland would probably love to unload him.
