So, you are saying people that have been here longer can start insulting newer members and expect no response? Where is that rule stated? If it is an unwritten rule, I choose not to follow it. The senior members in here should be setting good examples and not insulting others even if, in their opinion, they are posting lousy ideas. And, I did not insult anyone until I was insulted first. Even then, I tried not to retaliate and stoop to that level. Unfortunately, I did. While oh so cutesy cute, your little poem failed to recognize these points. Just start from the beginning of the thread and see who started with the insults.
Aren't you the same person who lifted one of my sentences and changed the context in a recent thread? I just scrolled through the remaining pages in that thread and never found you coming back to take responsibility for what you did. If you did, I must have missed it. Based on what I have seen in your recent postings on this BBS, you need to chill out a bit and take responsibility for what you post. If you want to get nasty and throw insults................go here: BBS Hangout: Debate and Discussion I let what you did to me in the other thread go and figured (hoped?) that you would learn to be more civil and considerate of other BBS members. A mistake for me to give you that chance to redeem yourself when it apparently isn't in your nature. Then forgo starting another McGrady Trade thread if you already have an inclination that the Clippers would not be interested. We already have enough of those (McGrady trade threads) in this Forum.
I appreciate your opinion. So, what is a useful thread? It's not like anybody in here makes an ounce of difference in what actually happens within this organization. This is a blog site for Rockets fans and nothing more. What may appear useless to you may appear useful to many others. As long as people avoid insulting others, most everything else should be fair game. I have seen countless threads that I FOUND TO BE IN BAD JUDGMENT, but that doesn't mean a member didn't have the right to discuss it if he was interested in the topic. Some people in here thinks they are experts. Most of them arent. They are just fans like me that feel entitled to slam others opinions. I shouldn't have allowed myself to retaliate to others' insults since it just makes things worse. I will try to do that in the future. I hope others do the same as unlikely as that may be. Again, what is a useful thread in your definition? Isn't that ultimately subjective? If you don't like the topic or agree with, ignore it or criticize it but don't insult others in that process. I still think bringing in Cassell is a reasonable move that would help this team.

Mango, It sounds like you have a complex about your intelligence. I do see that I misunderstood your post. Using the word impediment the way you did was correct, after all. Do I need to apologize for misinterpreting your comment? Again, I didn't insult you by calling you a rude name or anything. If I did, then I would owe you an apology, whether or not you misused a word. What you really want to hear is that you are very intelligent and did not make a mistake in the first place. I acknowledge that and "take responsiblity for that". Hilarious.
I didn't misuse a word and that was pointed out to you. Rather than coming back and at least admitting that you misunderstood what I had written............you abstained. Why you would want to intentionally insult others and run amuck in this Forum is a mystery to me. The condescending approach that you have is putting you on the wrong side of several people. As soon as I read your recap above, I realized I was wrong. You used the word "impediment" correctly. I never said anything rude to you. I just made a mistake. Yup. Too bad. I'm gonna tell you something my film profs always told me. You need to stop thinking of your films (or, in this case, your trade ideas) as your babies. No need to get irritated. I made a mistake. If I had happened to revisit that thread and read the follow-ups, I would have acknowledged my mistake sooner. I never called you a rude name or anything. All I did was incorrectly suggest using a different word to clarify your point. I was wrong. End of story.
If you look back in Rockets/Clutchfans history, I think the 'lets trade to get Cassell back' has been a constant like water in the ocean. There have been REAL chances in the past of it happening, but now its a Debbie Gibson song of a chance.
Apologize for what? A bad idea? I will admit to a bad idea but won't apologize for it. I ADMIT that the specific trade was a bad idea. It was people like blathersby that were condescending in their critcism and caused me to get defensive. Anyhow, I think that a smaller deal for Cassell could be a good move for the Rockets.
By the way, that is extremely hypocritcal for you to agree that somebody else is being condescending. The wording you used in your post on page one was one of the most condescending things I've read since joining this forum. The way you made your suggestion could almost be used in a dictionary as an example of how to be condescending. If you can't see that, ask for help.

By the way, this comment alone is condescending. You act like you are superior to me as if you are now my teacher. This is the same thing you did on page one. Go look up the definition of condescending then follow that up with looking up the definition of hypocritical.
