Since a trade thread has already began, I'd consider Mo for Fortson and Radmanovic if the Sonics proposed it. Radmanovic is in a major doghouse, but the guy is the ideal SF for the Rockets. The Sonics have no post scoring presence.
Based on their talk, I think it seemed that either a deal has been worked out or is very close to being worked out. If not someone needs to walk over to 610 and pimpslap MattJ. Why they would drop hints & no names I don't know. You'd think we woulda caught wind of this before some 5 second mention by Matt Jackson... I don't understand the "back to China" comment though, unless it's someone who has played in China, played w/ Yao, or is FROM China. Seeing as how Liu Wei was waived, and both Mengke & the other big guy who "defected" both suck, I don't see that... No mention by Delati in his update at all. Am I insane? Others heard this as well, we know that now. WTF is going on?
I would love that trade. Start Radman and have JJ come off the bench. We lose some bench offense in Mo but gain it back in JJ. I've been thinking up ways to limit the 34 year old Jim Jackson's minutes for awhile now, and the only conclusion i've been getting to is: Boumje. Radman would work for sure. PS this trade will never happen.
I'm working under the assumption that these guys are full of crap and trying to get listeners. But, assuming it is possibly true, you do that deal in a heart beat. You get a quality PG (and even if you think Payton was "finished", look at his numbers last year) to run the show and you get out from under Mo's contract. Payton only has one year left on his deal so you get capspace.
That's just crappy. Why do that to people...whats the point in that...do they think that will keep their listeners glued to the radio just that much more? Im sure it worked in both ways...having listeners stay on as well as piss off a lot of people.
I know radio stations think "controversy sells so we won't do anything to this guy", but if a radio personality and station cries wolf enough time they're going to seriously burn out their fan base. I for one aren't going to trust these guys in the least anymore. And why? Over a stupid stunt to rile people up. Oh well, I'm still VERY happy with the Rockets team right now. Would have loved the deal though!
As good as Mo is, he's one-dimensional. I think JVG would rather have Spoon or Padgett in the rotation.
If blount is in the deal i would pull the trigger. He seems to be ideal for van gundy's system. He boards and plays good defense. He'd be a nice compliment to Howard. I'm sure we'd have to give up nachbar or someone if payton is comin also
