The only person I would trade Lowry for is Dwight.

Well its not like DW has been tearing it up recently. If you go by this logic Durant is not better than Ray Allen until he's had several post-season games.

For all intents and purposes, Klow IS the better player, esp. when you consider the health issues DW has been dealing with and how Lowry makes 1/3 of DW's salary.

Do you think the Rockets will be signifcantly better with DW than with Lowry at the pg spot? If we get DW we have to trade other people, like Parsons and Scola.

Also how do you know DW will go to Houston if DW is there for a half a season? What if DW leaves in free agency and both of them go to Dallas? Have you ever thought that might happen?

I don't understand what the tanking faction on Clutchfans thinks. How the hell do you rebuild if you're going to toss every decent player out the window for more Thabeets and Gerald Greens? Are you going to go the way of the 2011 Astros? No thanks.

Clutchfans: When a player gets too good, we don't want him on the team.

What a stupid thread. How do people read the board there with all the crap attached to every post? Do they really find that entertaining? If I want to look at photos of chicks, there are plenty in Hangout. Just check out the "Best A**!!" thread, or a dozen others. Why litter the basketball discussion with that noise? Having said that, the biggest problem at SpersTalk is lack of traffic and a dearth of solid posts. The biggest problem here are threads like this.

That's a terrible comparison. Allen never won any scoring titles nor did he ever lead his team to the Western Conference finals. Durant has done way more in his first few years than Allen ever did. The same can't be said about Lowry vs DWill.

DWill has been an all star player for many years and was the best player on some very good Jazz teams. Lowry has looked impressive but I'm not sure you could get to the Western conference finals with him as your best player. I love Lowry but if you have a chance at getting DWill by giving him up you take it.

D-Will is probably the better player in the long run but as someone said ... are we better off with Lowry plus the players we would lose in acquiring D-Will or with D-Will and some guys off the Vipers?

Well then again, pull up Morris and GSmith.... I say "KEEP LOWRY."

Yeah Ray Allen doesn't have a scoring title. He does, however have 2 things better:

    1. NBA RING

    2. NBA All time records:
NBA's all-time leader in regular season 3-point field goals made

At this point in his career KD has proven nothing, while Allen is a multi-decorated perennial all star and is a lock for the HOF.

Regarding D-Will, I don't really know why you think Lowry couldn't have done what he did, their stats alone are very comparable, not to mention since Lowry is cheaper you can have better talent around him than you would with D-Will. I feel like a lot of posters here look at players without taking account of their contract, but sadly contracts are almost as important as the talent level of the player himself. Rudy Gay is a very nice player to have on your team but when you have to pay him 20M a year and the cap is only 56M you realize you're better of rolling with someone else.

Anyone is tradeable for the right deal.

But Lowry is the key to this team, so only for a major team upgrade.
