There is a rumor floating around that the Magic wants to trade Jameer Nelson or JLin or PBev. Not sure how true it is. Only source I can find now is from a Sohu which is chinese site but Bleacher's Report with potential trade going down this year adds support to this potential trade. What are your thoughts? I think it might be a possibility if Morey wants to get rid of Lin's contract before the 15 mm hits next year (I know it is only 8mm hit on the cap). http://sports.sohu.com/20131103/n389454913.shtml http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...tential-trades-that-could-go-down-this-season
include oladipo future firsts, Vuc and a deal to never steal parsons back to orlando and u have a deal.
I am not saying Morey went to the Magic org and asked for the trade, in fact, it was the other way around. I do see the ability to move Lin's 15 mm hit next year as a possible consideration that Morey may do it, with additions from ORL to sweeten the deal of course.
It would be absolutely nuts to give up Lin or Bev for Nelson. Morey would have to be three sheets to the wind to even consider such a trade. Nelson was never good to start with. And he has digressed since his peak.
I'm sure Orlando would love either of those trades since both Bev & Lin are better and younger than Jameer. And the 15 million next season is a non-factor for salary cap purposes since Lin will only count 8 million and some change against the cap.
1. Why don't you post this in the random trade thread? Where this belongs! 2. Orlando can't trade Bev or Lin because they are Rockets not magic. I believe u meant to say "for" not "or" 3. This idea blows
I love it when people let their uninformed opinion get in the way of the facts. I can assure you that there is no advanced stat that supports trading Lin for Nelson. And for the rest of you - I can assure you that Morey will never ever consider this trade. It goes against the very fiber of his existence.
Um, the title say what I meant which is ORL wants to trade JN for JLin _OR_ PBev not AND. Not saying it will happen but we never know what Morey thinks from the expense side. Maybe he wants room next year for a star PF? This would mean Asik will go next.
