I don't like the trade too much. I'd look to Indiana as a good trading partner right now. they have all their players yet they are struggling. Tinsley and Croshere are two players that would help our team: another guy who can handle the rock and a threepoint shooting/very good rebounding power forward. Wesley and Howard may get it done. Then I'd turn around and try to steal PJ Brown. I'd offer 'em Swift. Having a big man rotation of Yao/Croshere/P.J Brown...I couldn't feel any better about the job i just did.
That would be awesome, but I don't think you can get them for so little I always liked Croshere and PJ. None of them is flashy, but Croshere is all hustle, every single minute on the court, Rockets really need that kind of energy and spirit, especially with Bobby out for the season. PJ may be old, and injury prone, but I still like his skills, height and quietly get the business done. Two stars on a team is enough, the rest should be the work force. I don't expect super talent, I would rather have players working hard, know their roles, being excited to get the opportunity to play on this team. They should defend and drop open shots, what Barry and Wesley are supposed to do.
I just want some young guys. They make mistakes but always look forward. And they are not easy to get frustrated by JVG.
That doesn't make sense to me. Young guys are usually the ones who get frustrated when hounded by a coach. Veterans are more able to shrug it off.
You know, Fred Jones is an interesting piece from thier team. They have Artest, Stephen Jackson & now Granger, along with their new Euro-guard (couldn't spell his name if I wanted to), who can all play the 2/3 for the team. If I'm not mistaken, Jones is in a contract year so I could see him being moved for cap relief next season. Indiana has a lot of salary and, I would assume, they would not want to give Jones a raise. He could certainly give us the athletic SG and he is a good 3pt shooter. Seems a little injury-prone (is that where he is now?) but I think he would be a nice fit with the Rockets.
