Jermaine O'Neal's a bigger injury risk than T-Mac.

This trade would make both teams worse.

No one will make a blockbuster trade for MacGrady because of his back issues.

As a matter of fact - No one here would be talking about T-mac being traded if he didn't have back issues. Why assume any other team would want to deal with the risk?

All we can do is hope that the time off will heal his back and he'll have a great year next season.

    NO FREAKING WAY

TMAC IS ONE OF THE BEST PLAYERS TO BUILD A TEAM AROUND.

YOU GOT YAO + TMAC. how could anyone even have the idea of breaking them up. They even got chemistry. Just freaking trade around to get better SG and PF and bench players.

    Trade Proposal:
Clutchfans trade: trade proposal thread starters
ESPN Rockets message board trade: noobs

    Change in Clutchfans outlook: -6.8 TSPD*, -4.5 FPT~, and +3.3 ATR^.

Due to Clutchfans being over the membership cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. ESPN had to be no more than 125% plus 10 of the total board members given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I'm just posting in this thread so I can give it a bad rating, and to remind everyone that I am awesome.

Good to see a somewhat realistic trade idea (though in no way likely). I don't think I'd pull the trigger on this one, though I like the twin towers thought. Hmm..

Please stop trolling this topic with idiotic responses.

first, I am probably the biggest T-mac fan u'll find around.. and I am absolutely against any idea of trading him.. but I am not going to attack u and bash u like everybody else does...
the thing is, I dont think 2 great post players (Yao&Jermaine) will work together successfully... I think it is a bad idea to have two of them because they dont spread the floor well...the biggest proof is : I've never seen a team with 2 "SUPERSTAR" post players who won a championship.. our twin towers came close to it but u couldn't really call SAmpson a post player... u can pretty much conclude that most of the time, it's always a good Center/PF and a PG or a SG who win championships ... the only special case would be Hakeem (won it by himself the first year, the second year he had Drexler).. and u might add MJ to the list (but he still had Scottie)...
and 1 more thing, I know u might think that I am crazy, but i think that T-mac's value cannot be replaced on this team.. yes, including Kobe &Lebron.. I dont think anybody can replace Mcgrady because he does so many things on the court and that makes him a great player.. he is kinda like Hakeem (I Know it's a weired comparison, but these 2 are my fav players of all time). ...
and one more thing,, I am not willing to give up on T-Mac until he's done for his career,, the guy is a hard worker and he'll come back and stronger than ever...

Definitely a no. All trades involving TMac and Yao should be locked from this board.

As for the rest, I'd like to know if somehow we make it into the top 3 with some luck, how many of you would deal that pick for an established swingman such as Maggette or Mo Peterson? It's looking more and more like Maggette is going to be moved this summer. How about Mo Pete and one of Toronto's lower first rounders for our #7-8 and say Swift? Or how about JR Smith and NO's lower first rounder for our pick and Swift?

Or if we get top 3 are you set on getting Rudy or Brandon?

It's gonna be a long shot!! You just take away the entire back bone of Indiana. Will never work!

Not sure I'd do this deal, as I don't see how O'Neal and Yao would coexist both wanting the ball down low. But I don't know why the poster is getting flamed for proposing a TMac trade. Quite frankly, although a marvelous player when healthy, he's damaged goods (degenerative back condition, only played 47 games this year, FG% down to .406 and 3PFG down to .312), and should be open season for trade speculation.

We all know the Rockets won't trade him this summer, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't keep their eyes and ears open. I always get a kick out of posters that say they wouldn't trade TMac for any other player in the league, even LeBron.

I love my Pacers, but Stephen Jackson is a borderline lunatic and I've soured on JO a lot this season. I would not make this trade. Unless the Pacers make a deep playoff run, both JO and Stephen Jackson could be gone this summer.

Isn't Jermaine O'neal just as injury prone as T-Mac?

Indy would laugh so hard at this proposal..

Now if T-mac was healthy maybe they would look at the trade. ( Maybe )
