Oooh yeah. Lets couple Yao Ming with LeBron James.

Then you can stop posting on the Rockets board and go bug the Cav fans.

I've stayed out of the Yao-only talk until now. Come on. This is just plain rediculous.

I guess it's fair that Yao has a few bad games and people want to trade him, given my propensity to dump Steve.

But Yao is getting it. He has backslid these past few, but he has looked tired. And he depends on others to get him the ball. If the others also play like young knuckleheads, then we have a recipe for disaster.

Thing is, just be pragmatic about this. Yao Ming = 1.3 billion potential jerseys sold (well, you get the idea). China TV rights. A player that every other team (including the Lakers) would give its left nut to obtain.

    Yao ain't going nowheres.

I could see Cato going to the Cavs along with Cat, then Ilgauskas and his half-court game to Indy, and players from Indy to us. But not Yao Ming.

glad to hear that so many love my trade idea ;)

on a serious note, i believe that this trade can help both teams in the long and short term.

    1. Yao does not fit into our guard oriented offense. It will always be Francis team whether we like it or not. Can't beat em, then join em. Small ball it is.

    2. Rox are going to have salary cap issues moving foward given Steves max contract. This trade will help get rid of Cato's huge contract and in return, gain Big Z's soon expiring contract. The Rox can then go and get a iso oriented foward to compliment Steve and Cat. Possibly a player like Antoine Walker or the like and can always get a active big body to grab rebounds, play D, and set screens for the guards (Gadzuric).

    Gadzurich- C
    Walker- PF
    Miles- SF
    Cat- SG
    Steve- G

    3. Cavs will benefit by getting one of the best centers in the league.

    4. Together with Lebron, it has the potential to develop into the Kareem/Magic type chemistry.

top 15 protected pick from houston
2004 2nd round pick from seattle

    TRADE ACCEPTED

    -------------------------------------------------

    Our lineup
    pg- C. Ward/ Daniels/moochie

    pf- Sweetney/ C.Spoon/ pagett/ford
c- Ming / any of the above backup pfs or meech

We get a team that has a pass 1st pg, a young sane pf(sweetney) and although we lose some depth, we get an allstar good teamate sg in Ray allen, a lotto pick pf in sweetney, for an allstar pg in francis, mo, and overpaid cato, for true pf's

    Seattle
Loses allen but they already have flip, barry, and shard on the outside, but they gain a scorer who is as good as allen in francis, and they think he can distribute to all their shooters, + they get a post presence that they have needed in kurt thomas

    pg- francis/ridnour
    sg- Murray/ barry
    sf- lewis/sesay
    pf- thomas/ radmanovic/ evans
    c- james/ booth/ potopinko

    NY
get rid of terrible contracts, (spoon, ward) and loses to good pf's but dosent lose too much when they get mo (mo is almost as good as thomas, ok not really but o well) But Dice is back so they dont need him, and they get real size in cato + a top 15 protected 1st from houston, and a 2nd rounder from seattle

Let's trade Yao to LA for Derek Fisher.

Or trade him to Dallas for Shawn Bradley.

Or trade him to Indiana for Jamaal Tinsley.

Or we can trade him to San Antonio for Malik Rose.

Whatever we do, let's trade him to a contender where he can win a championship, and let's see if we can get nothing in return, okay?
