Sure, time to take some risks.

I'd offer a mid-round draft pick - it's not like Rick Smith is going to use it any better on a rookie. Washington knows his value is sunk.

Sounds like a horrible plan. Take a guy who's only success has come from an option read simplified system to BOB's complex system. RGIII needs to go to a team that will let him run and improvise on the field. Not a good fit.

I read the article HillBoy linked to on the first page. If he can't make simple reads, if Gruden had to revert to bare bones training camp day one offense, why would we expect him to come in here and learn O'Brien's offense? If that's truly indicative how how well he understands (or doesn't understand) the game, then I don't want to trade anything for him. I don't want to waste the time.

I've heard from some that one reason he had success early is that Kyle Shanahan incorporated some of the Baylor offense into his own. So RGIII was comfortable with that. Jay Gruden hasn't done that and RGIII has struggled to pick up the new stuff. I'm not sure if O'Brien would really be that much different. He has his system and he wants you to come in and learn in. He places a lot of value on a QB with a high football QB who can come in and understand what's going on. Yeah, he might change the gameplan to fit a QBs strengths, but he still has to learn the offense and 12 weeks into the season, RGIII hasn't shown that he's learned Jay Gruden's offense yet. So what hope is there that he could learn the offense here?

I'd rather wait until 2016 in hopes of Andrew Luck doing a LeBron.

No way in the world that happens. He's stuck on his cheap rookie contract for 2 more years. Eagles own him.

Sanchez could be possible unless he does so well they sign him long term.

QUESTION: I am hearing Petersen maybe going to Dallas. . . . . any chance /interest in going after Murray? or will he be WAY more expensive than Arian.

I'm not really into RGIII but isn't that what Fitz basically does now?

Maybe as a free agent pickup once he gets cut. Make him compete with whoever the Texans have in training camp next season

Yes we should but the Texans play it safe so they won't. I doubt they even call Washington to see what they want for him. Probably go after someone like Sam Bradford.

Ryan Mallett! He did have a good game until he got hurt. He knows the offensive

So does RGIII, just about who would suck less in O'B's system. Malletts gonna need a backup.

Foles is the better pocket passer, but RGIII moves much better outside it and has very good accuracy.
Fitz gets to running a lot in OB's system so RGIII would not be out of the question
