LaMelo is the kind of move desperate teams like the Wolves make. They're entering that Bucks/Giannis phase where they're scrambling to keep their star happy.
West gets better meanwhile we're still pretending Sengun will develop a shot, Reed will somehow not be a cone on defense, Amen will be able to shoot outside of 5 feet and Jabari will wake up one day and realize he was the the third pick.
Either we are holding out for Jaylen Brown or just running it back. Could have easily done better than Naz Reid.
Curious how this works in Minnesota. It’s either going to solidify them as a perennial contender or it’s going to get Ant Edwards to leave sooner. I trust Finch to figure it out. He is elite
Lamelo would have been an instant upgrade a 6'7 PG that can shoot & find guys. That's literally what we have needed the last 2 seasons. Lamelo & Amen backcourt would have been showtime. Smh. But FVV is our savior I guess
wow the Hornets sold high on LaMelo. That’s a great haul for an overpaid injury prone player. Nice deal for the Hornets.
Hornets were finally forming an identity and finally had a team the fans could root for for the 1st time in ages organizations like Charlotte are just farm teams for the rest of the NBA
Meh. He’ll play 50 games and put up some flashy numbers, but doesn’t move the needle as much as some of you are thinking. As Rockets fans, this is good news for us. This move was clearly done to get Ant some help, but it won’t do much in the long run. The Ant trade request is inevitable and this does nothing to stop it, IMO.
They weren't going anywhere with him and they weren't keeping him beyond this contract plus they got way more than he's worth. There was no reason for them to not do this deal
Lamelo averages 10 three point attempts a game, that’s why he’s so inefficient. If he stopped jacking up so many 3s, he wouldn’t be so bad.
