I honestly don’t think anyone knows what the hell Nico Harris and the new ownership is really to and what their true objectives are. I don’t trust his statement that they are trying to win now with AD but I also can’t say that it’s not entirely true. What is it about AD that they had to have him and only him I have no idea, but in a rational world AD does not make sense without a Kyrie type of guard and good wing depth. So I assume Kyrie is at this point untradable but who knows. Even if he is, Kyrie is still Kyrie and at any point he can literally just decide he’s just not into basketball anymore and go do anything from going to burning man for a month to being named the Secretary of Treasury (which oddly he’d be better than most of the random weird goons nominated to run our country right now). So no I don’t trust the Mavs front office and certainly not their new ownership right now and I really really don’t trust Kyrie even though yes he would be an upgrade over FVV from a talent standpoint. If I’m Stone it’s worth staying in touch with Nico but I’m not burning up my phone to make a deal by any stretch.
They might barely win the Play In. That is Win now to me. Even with Luka the Mavs were up and down in the standings. The Lakers were up and down. I don't see it changing with AD.
Its a dumb idea though cuz the Mavs went to the Finals last year. Its actually better to trade Kyrie for younger guys so you extend Doncic and Lively window rather than bet on Irving and AD to beat Nuggets, Celtics, Bucks and even Kings who should be much better now with Lavine.

It's true that Luka Doncic can't seem to lay off the deep dish Super Supreme pizza (his conditioning has always been a puzzle), but he isn't a player you trade. One of the best players in the league, gifted to the go**amned Lakers.
