if opportunity comes, take it...i love joe johnson...as for now, i'm really worried at our C position and i'm gettin disappointed with Morey staying pat..
Thats considering the fact that Miami's main defense was focusing on stopping JJ, Cleveland was a little more succesful doing that. He's the only real playmaker on that team, Bibby has become more of their spot up shooter at his age. Joe would murder McGrady in the playoffs if the 2 were to meet.
are you joking? Johnson plays much worse come playoff time, just look at his numbers. His scoring, shooting, passing all take a hit and he turns the ball over more.
just cause he has made it to the 2nd round on an ensemble team does not mean he is a better playoff performer
I would love this deal, but..... a very unlikely scenerio. Pipe dream trade. Mcgradys value is at a all time low Johnsons value is at a all time high This trade just wouldnt happen.
seriously, why would a team trade an expiring contract of a player who is a perfect fit for them and healthy for a player who is injured, has motivational issues and expiring as well?
You should stop and repeat what you just said out loud..... He's actually made it to the second round. Tracy..... well you know the rest.
I don't see Joe going any where besides, Tracy would never goto Atlanta. I think Tracy has the organization by the chuck nevitts. He is not worth his contract he is not durable or efficient enough. This is mainly because he is lazy in the offseason and refuses to loose weight. This is also why he gets injured too much.
True, but there are many teams having financial difficulties and some might think bringing in Tracy could possibly raise sales.
Do you really think that after all the crap Tracy has been through, put us through, he's going to come back to be the McGrady of old??? Oh wait never mind he is cause he said it himself. Right. Regardless Joe puts up numbers for his team to win, Tracy puts his up so he can say I did everything what did everybody else do? Lame ass.
Blame Me !! Blame Me !! As if or something. Agreed notice his production has decreased every year with the Rockets. I doubt he averages 10ppg remember Francis he could be finished as a player.
And to answer that question how many people here regret the fact that we didn't trade Tracy for Rip and Prince or whoever was being waved in our face. There are plenty of people that would like to have a mulligan on that deal or non deal. Either way Tracy isn't wanted, I don't even think the Rockets would keep him if they didn't have to. What a waste.
This. McGrady's playoff stats are pretty damn badass, he just didn't have the team for it. When he DID have the team for it, his health wasn't there. It's very possible that if we did trade for JJ+fodder for tmac, JJ's stock would dip cause there's no double team on Yao that he could feed off of. Not to mention he's in the west now, where you're playng more contending teams regularly than the eastern teams. The trade for JJ works if Yao is healthy, which he's not, so let's just let tmac play out his contract and see if we can get someone else for the money.
Players have tendencies to talk alot in articles or let you hear what you want to hear just to sale tickets. In McGrady's case he is probably finished.
