So, you can call alpi trash because he shot worse than your expectations despite general stats and effort but I can't object this and say all rockets shot bad because you believe there is an institution called sofs and they like using reed and bari as examples, Durant can't be mentioned because he only played one game. Who played or coached great actually in this series? Label me all you want. Alpi cannot be the only blamed one because of this play off run. And seeing him as a scapegoat and getting props for that is just annoying as rockets front office shortcomings. That's all I am saying. Even if his shots were better, you haters gonna find some other excuses to blame him for rockets' cumulative failure.
I wonder if they’d even give us Derrick White and a first round pick for KD. They rejected 2 first round picks for White last summer but he had a flukey bad offensive showing in the playoffs. I was adamant that KD was not going to decline last summer and I think I was right about that. Now that he’s a year older and we put on a ton of minutes and usage on him, I think he’s for sure going to decline more than we’d like. We should get ahead of it.
you keep trying to pivot and dream shake to other players stay focused, we’re talking about your boy Sengun this lame ass SOF tactic of “what about everybody else?” doesn’t work never seen an All-Star with less expectations and with so many garbage excuses… y’all slobber over him 24/7 but then want him to have regular player expectations…ha
if Sengun gets traded, they’ll all be gone they’ll literally migrate like geese in the winter to their next team Bucks fans gonna have their franchise GOAT traded one night and then wake up to a SOF infestation
That is comparing. If you call sengun trash, you have to stand somewhere that makes sense on others as well or you are a hater. Let's focus on 'our' guy (not my guy since he is not on my payroll) his sterline in playoffs is on par with his salary. He was a borderline all-star, made the team because of injuries this year as we all know, and his play does not deserve to be called "trash" unless you have something personal against him.
If I was pitching to Brad, Celtics do need a big, Sengun is an upgrade of what they have. They have better shooting to surround Sengun and I honestly do believe Mazulla has a higher chance of unlocking Alp than our staff and other pieces here. So even if people aware of the pros and cons, Sengun is not this extreme negative. In such a deal, almost treat Sengun as the salary filler to Brown's giant-normous contract, not the main talent centerpiece. Brad would then counter with, I also want Amen, Tari and Reed, plus picks in the deal. Or also Amen, Bari and picks in a deal. Then what's the play? Stone could haggle, maybe keep a Reed and one of the 'ari's. But to get a Brown (like a Giannis), have to offer up at the very least both Amen and Sengun. Seems like a Rockets overpay...but is it really? We can all finally be guilt free on both fit problems. ... and just get regular basketball players. The fear is HOU will overpay for Amen, something Det is not delusional to do for Ausar. They have Cade, they know the pay hierarchy. There's a quicksand in front of Stone in Amen's extension, how can he tight rope walk around it. MFer is in risk of maxing a defensive specialist. If removing Sengun (as a sacrificial lamb to help ship Amen out) while getting a top 20 player in J Brown, we should consider it.
Sengun is not the one with the bad contract, but Amen will likely be. Brad with no attachment to either players, can freely flip them for more pieces as he sees fit. Amen's agent can't leverage Brad, the way he can on Stone; Amen doesn't have a playing history with the C's. There's less good-will obligrations. Stone trading his draftees is admitting his staff didn't delvelop (well enough) but they are a flip for a big name like Brown. Politically it gives more protection in keeping that GM seat.
Tbh this makes sense. With Tatum getting injured again it's clear Brown as the 1B can fill the star player role when needed. Imagine if we had that kind of luxury? We wouldn't risk that relationship going toxic, and I doubt they will either.
I don’t see any reason for the Celtics to make major changes this off-season and doubt they will. They could use a center like Sengun, but they don’t have the draft capital we would want. I’m sure they could manage a trade with someone else to get a more serviceable center than Garza.
You guys are way over-rating Brown. He’s a below average 3p shooter getting paid the super-max. He’s really good, but not someone to build around. Sengun and Amen is an overpay, much less adding picks and other rotation players. So in the end, we would have FVV, Brown, Jabari, and Adams and no picks in 26 or 27. Get real. If you are packaging Amen and Sengun it would be for the #! Pick and rotation players and that would be an overpay as well.
