We can build a package around Oladipo and first round picks (the Wizards, Pistons, Blazers, Bucks FRPs, and Nets 2022 Pick). Beal might be interested in joining the Rockets given his relationship with Wall, and I think he can be a good fit in Silas's system. With Wall, Beal, Wood and the rest of the supporting cast, this team can be competitive for a 2nd round appearance in the next 3 years. In terms of other teams who might be interested in acquiring Beal, Heat and Celtics can't offer nearly as much as we do; 76ers might offer a package around Ben Simmons, not sure if either side would be interested; Pels and Thunder can offer more, but Beal might prefer us. Of course we don't want to overbid, because getting Beal won't make us a contender. But I think it'll be interesting if we can get him at a reasonable price.
Id offer Dipo (Washington can reroute him). Mason Jones, 2026 NJ pick (premium asset), 2020 Rockets pick and 2020 Blazers pick.
I honestly think we have the combination of assets and young players that would allow us to make a competitive offer. Lots of teams have been waiting on Beal to hit the market so if you really want him, be prepared to offer something similar to what we received in the Harden trade. Beal is only 27 and considering the amount of teams that will want in, he won’t be a cheap acquisition. These lowball offers won’t get it done.
If you can get him you have to go for it. He's 27 years old and should be good for the next 5-6 years. I'd be surprised if we could give the best offer, though. Hopefully he demands a trade to us (yeah right).
Did anyone see him shaking his head on the bench at the end of the game last night he was broken I saw it right then. Post a gif please!
Harry Potter muther trucker. We'll soar through the air a broom Rocket ™ Beal would be an awesome get, but seems unlikely.
Nah. This ain’t it. I love Beal and want to see him win. I don’t want to flip the newley acquired assets for someone that has a hard time winning games.
We are not there yet in terms of competing in the west and Beal is in his prime. Why would he waste his remaining years with us not going anywhere. When we traded for Harden who was in His early 20’s, he was the best 6th man of the year star with potential who didn’t cost us the farm like Beal would. I’d rather go for players like that again like Michael Porter Jr. or Tyler Herro.
